We can’t all be winners, and neither can all of the foods, desserts, and drinks at the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival.
But every once in a while, a controversial dish comes along and disturbs the peace. Is it delicious? Is it disgusting? We just can’t decide!
Sacrebleu! The France booth, typically a festival favorite among our reporters, surprised us this year. The new Beignet aux Trois Fromages, which you can get for $5.75, might be the most highly debated Food and Wine Festival item this year! At least it is between the DFB team!
This warm beignet filled with three kinds of cheese had three of our reporters disappointed, and one reporter completely in love! Some felt that the beignet’s sweet flavor didn’t mix nicely with the warm cheese filling, which had a gravy-like consistency and flavor.Â
On the other hand, one reporter was prepared to happily eat (approximately) 100,000 of these cheesy-stuffed beignets. After all, it’s smooth creamy cheese and soft warm dough. How can that combination not be fantastique?
Since it became such a debate, one of our writers went in and gave it a try and she too fell in love!! She said she loved the texture and could eat this over and over again!!
If it’s any consolation, everyone seemed to agree that the cheese on top was tasty. Maybe this dish is best for those that don’t mind a sweet/savory shakeup. But, for those of you that prefer some consistency in your dining, maybe skip this beignet. Oh well, taste is subjective after all! So we want you, our readers, to weigh in! What are your thoughts on this beignet? Do you LOVE it? HATE it? We need all your thoughts!!!
If you’re looking for more guidance for this year’s Food and Wine Festival, we have ALL the details! Stay tuned for more updates, reviews, and festival fun!

My daughter and I tried it and loved it! The beignet would have been amazing alone but the sweet and savory together was super tasty.
Mr . JOHN says
It is cheese it has to be good any thing that has it I think it would like to try . Everything looks bad doesn’t mean it is not tasty.
Kim says
Didn’t care for the cheese inside the beignet! The cheese on top was ok but it seemed like it needed something sweeter. Not a fan!
Juju says
I tried it! The three cheeses mixed didnt sit that well with me cause every bite felt like a new cheese flavor. The bread was like an unglazed donut. The cheese was very gravy like. The sweetness of the bread and the cheese didn’t mix well. I ended up losing my appetite after I ate it. I dont recommend
