We do our best to keep you updated on everything that’s happening in Disney World!
Get ready to soar over world landmarks and taste your way around the World Showcase, because we’re heading into EPCOT today to look at what’s new in the park!
We’ve been in EPCOT a lot recently with the 2021 Food & Wine Festival that started last week! While we were strolling through Future World and the World Showcase Pavilions, we saw several updates that we just have to tell you about!
EPCOT Food Update
Right now, the Food & Wine Festival is happening in EPCOT!
There are tons of delicious snacks to try at all the booths, so make sure to visit some on your way around the World Showcase!

EPCOT Construction Update
Future World
First of all, the newly reopened EPCOT Monorail line was down again this week.
Just two days after it reopened on July 18th, it closed again!
We’ll keep an eye on that situation and let you know about any updates!
We noticed earlier that something very important was missing from the waterways in EPCOT…
…the water! However, when we were back in the park this week, we saw that they’ve been filled again!
These water beds are drained periodically for construction updates or scheduled cleaning.
Disney might have shut off the water for construction on the upcoming Moana attraction, or maybe it was just a routine pipe cleaning. Either way, we’re glad to see the water back again!
World Showcase
On our ride on the Skyliner, we took a peek at the construction going on in the France Pavilion!
If you’re curious about what’s going on back there, we got to see a sneak peek at some of the new things coming!
From the Skyliner, we could just barely make out the upcoming Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure ride!
EPCOT Merchandise Update
We also spotted some new merchandise around EPCOT this week!
Future World
We stopped in Pin Traders, which is located near EPCOT’s entrance in Future World! While we were there, we saw some new pin arrivals!
There are some celebrating this year’s EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, including the Wine & Dine runDisney events!
There were a lot of new limited-edition pins, such as the Hunchback of Notre Dame collection and some Little Mermaid ones as well! We loved the new Pirates of the Caribbean Funko Pop! pins!
Although they weren’t new, we had to stop to check out the Marvel collection as well!
World Showcase
Inside the Plaza de los Amigos (the big pyramid building in the Mexico Pavilion), we found some new merchandise to show you!
The new hats are inspired by the Mexican flag, with green, white, and blue stripes! We loved the pattern on Mickey on the cap!
The visor has the Mexican flag as the bill! Both of these hats are new to this pavilion, and you can get them at the shops inside the pyramid!
We had to walk all the way through the rest of World Showcase to get to our next stop: the reopened Northwest Mercantile store in the Canada Pavilion!
Inside this store, you’ll find all kinds of Canada-themed souvenirs, like mugs, shirts, hats, and blankets!
This store has been closed since Disney World reopened, so it’s big news to see it back open again!
Now let’s look at the rides and attractions around the park!
Ride and Attraction Wait Times
The first ride you’ll see if you’re coming in the Future World entrance is Spaceship Earth!
This one’s usually pretty popular, and the wait time was 30 minutes when we stopped by! Heading to the right towards the Land, we saw Soarin’ and Living With the Land. Soarin’ had a wait time of 35 minutes, which isn’t too high for that popular ride!
Living With the Land was hopping, though! The line looks crazy, but the ride vehicles are pretty big, so the wait time was just 25 minutes.
Back outside, we crossed to the other side of Future World to see Test Track and Mission: Space! Test Track is a really fun ride where you “test drive” a car through a series of obstacles! The wait time was 70 minutes.
On Mission: Space, you can be part of a crew that’s taking a trip to space! There are two options for this ride: The more rough Orange flight or the smoother Green flight. (If you tend to get motion sickness on rides, go for green on this one!)
The Orange side had a 15-minute wait, and Green was at 10.

Louis says
On July 20 morning, Spaceship Earth had a 50 minute wait. No. Way. Did not ride.
Soarin’ said 40 minutes, but I was through the line and the attraction in about 25.
