If you’re a huge Disney fan, then you need to know about a big event coming up soon!
The Destination D23 event is scheduled for this November, and it’s going to be a massive celebration in honor of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. We’ve been anxious to know more about what’s going on at this event, and now we’ve got some BIG details!
Today, Disney shared that tickets would go on sale for Destination D23 on July 29th at 1PM EST. During this first sale, only D23 Gold Members will have access to buy tickets. Tickets are $249 for general seating and $399 for preferred seating, plus a $7 processing fee. The virtual waiting room for ticket purchases will open at 1PM EST as well.
The 3-day event is going to include some BIG presentations and Disney is teasing some important announcements, so it’s definitely a can’t-miss! The kickoff welcome presentation will be hosted by Disney CEO Bob Chapek, as well as “What’s New and What’s Next for Disney Parks, Experiences and Products” presented by Chairman Josh D’Amaro.
Josh D’Amaro’s presentation is supposed to feature updates on many of Disney’s most highly anticipated projects. Disney even notes that “as D23 Members know, there is always a surprise or two in store!”
In addition to these two presentations, fans will get to experience other highlights, such as:
- A presentation on what’s new and next for Disney+
- Performances from Michael James Scott and DCappella
- Presentations on Musical Memories of Walt Disney World, The Art and Imagery of Walt Disney World, Weird Disney World, How the (Disney) World Began, and Park Stars: Original Characters of Walt Disney World
- A presentation on The Magical Musical World of Encanto
And it’s not just presentations! You can also visit The Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Bringing Home the Magic exhibit to explore Walt Disney World merchandise through the years. The popular Mickey’s of Glendale pop-up shop is returning, and guests of the event will also be able to enjoy a private movie screening at Disney Springs and a Disney+ as a finale to the weekend.
