Many things have been changing around Disney World lately.
We’ve seen resort rooms get makeovers, the return of fireworks, and many rides go back to normal operations. However, one thing that hasn’t really returned to the parks are the shows. Many are no longer take place or are modified, while others will be returning soon after long closures. The full “Let the Magic Begin” welcome show has not returned to the Magic Kingdom yet. But, each morning, the music is played in Magic Kingdom as guests enter the park. And now, the music of the show has also been altered.
Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah has been removed from the Welcome Show in Magic Kingdom.

Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah is the song that plays at the end of Splash Mountain, which will be receiving a Princess and the Frog makeover soon to be more inclusive.
Disney said of the reimagining that it will be, “one that all of our guests can connect with and be inspired by, and it speaks to the diversity of the millions of people who visit our parks each year.”
With the ride changing, it’s no surprise that music from the attraction is also being phased out of the parks. The song was removed from the background music in Disneyland and the Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah-Day game was removed from the Disney Parks Play app last August. We’ll keep an eye out for other changes around Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

Noooooo!! Even if Splash Mountain is repurposed, the music should still be heard. It is so much a part of Frontierland. It is such a fun, catchy tune and I really hope someone changes their mind on this.
BUT, I still disagree with the repurposing of Splash Mountain. It just fits with Frontierland. A Princess doesn’t in Frontierland.

Not Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah!!! Nooooo!!!

I so enjoy the DFB News letter each day. My family are DVC Owners and have relied on the news letter to keep up with what is happening with WDW while we have been unable to visit since February of 2020. We hope to make a trip this October. See you real soon!

A princess theme is not even part of frontier land someone stupid person r persons keep making changes to Disney and ruining it b 4 long we won’t know we r at Disney world we have came there for over 40 years and can’t believe what is happening to Disney they better b careful that they don’t lose to universal studios I’m sure people r thinking about it with what Disney charges and just to eat there is also a problem they r going to shut out a lot of people who have been faithful to Disney and only the wealthy. Can go there it’s a true shame what has happened. And also the the magical express

How truly sad that a song that is telling EVERYONE to have a wonderful day is being removed. I consider myself a huge Disney fan and every time I hear it I ONLY think of Disney goodness, smiles and joy. The way Mr. Disney intended the parks to be for all of us!
