If you’re one who likes to learn about ALL the latest and greatest Disney announcements (and get a peek at what Disney is working on for the future), then events like Destination D23 are probably perfect for you!
During this event, which will be held in November of this year in Disney World, fans will get the change to hear news about upcoming projects, get behind-the-scenes info, hear from special guests, and MORE! Tickets for the event went on sale today, but it seems like QUITE a few Disney fans were ready to snatch them up!
At 1PM EST today, the Destination D23 tickets went on sale and we hopped in line to try and grab one!
We saw on the D23 site that there would be a number of preferred tickets as well as general seating.
When we first made our way to the site, we saw that preferred seating was already sold out.
But, by the time we were able to purchase our tickets, we saw that ALL tickets (including all of the general seating) had already sold out!
Were you lucky enough to grab a ticket before they sold out? Let us know in the comments below! D23 has shared that select parts of Destination D23 will be live-streamed on the D23 website and D23 social media channels. More information and a full schedule of streaming panels is set to be released soon.
Destination D23 is now sold out. Select segments of #DestinationD23 will be live-streamed on https://t.co/l1vb0Z8oJQ and D23 social media channels. Stay tuned to https://t.co/l1vb0Z8oJQ for a full schedule of streaming panels, along with details of where to tune in.

I got my preferred seating tickets!! Can’t wait to see all the panels. Fingers crossed Lin Manuel Miranda will be present to talk about Encanto and The live action Little Mermaid!

Some previous Destination D events weren’t even sold out and the last one took months to sell out, so I wasn’t worried that I wouldn’t at least get a general ticket. Even so, I logged on as per my iPhone at exactly 1 PM and only had to refresh 3 times before getting into the virtual queue. I waited a little over 5 minutes and clicked on preferred ticket and everything went through. I assumed that preferred tickets weren’t that popular. An hour later I looked again and was surprised that the event had sold out in 17 minutes. So I was lucky to not only get a preferred ticket, but any ticket at all! While I’m glad, I do feel sorry for so many others that were locked out. At least there will be live streams of the event. Now who knows how the Expo tickets will go next year?

This is why I stopped renewing my gold membership . The events are so limited, you can’t get a ticket and what’s the point. The quarterly packets are nice but not worth it in my opinion.

I tried to purchase tickets but they sold out before I was able. I’m thinking of cancelling my subscription as well. First, I upgraded to the Gold Family plan so I could purchase up to 4 tickets for my family to attend special events. Then, D23 changed the plan to a duo plan allowing me to have a second person on my account but limited my purchase options back to only 2. With the price of subscriptions increasing, price of event tickets increasing, limited availability of event tickets, lack of quality in member benefits, it may not be worth it. Live streaming of select panels? Since I can’t attend, I’ll be at work all day. I hope there will be an option to watch those select panels when I can, not only when they are live.

I was thrilled the event was coming to Orlando. In the queue only 1 minute and got my general tickets. I believe those will be just fine. Room booked. Happy Birthday to my wife on November 20th!
