Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to some amazing rides like Avatar Flight of Passage in Pandora, Expedition Everest, and Kilimanjaro Safaris!
With the return of Festival of the Lion King and the announcement of a new daytime show coming for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, now there’s more reason than ever to visit Disney’s wildest park! If you’re planning to see all that Animal Kingdom has to offer, though, you’ll need some delicious food along the way! Never fear — we’re here to help you find the best food possible!
Let’s start out with some quick service dining options!
Quick Service Restaurants
Flame Tree Barbecue
First up, we’ve got Flame Tree Barbecue! Like you’d expect, you can get awesome barbecue here, including smoked chicken, ribs, pulled pork, hot links, and more! The portions here are BIG, so this place is great if you’re pretty hungry!
Mobile order is an option here, and right now Disney is reallly recommending that guests use it! One of favorite thing we’ve had here, though, won’t be on the menu! It’s a mash-up of two Flame Tree dishes we designed ourselves!Â
We don’t want to sound too proud, but it’s probably the best thing you’ll ever eat. Just sayin’.

Harambe Market
Harambe Market is a counter service restaurant that has some healthier options! So if you need a little break from all the delicious battered, fried, and sugar coated treats at Disney World this is a great place to get some plates that feature rice, veggies, and grilled meats!
We got a Ribs and Chicken bowl here that we loved! Other options include grilled vegetables, a beef gyro, and tikka masala!
We’d love to tell you more about the options and atmosphere of this place!

Pizzafari
Pizzafari is reopening soon in Animal Kingdom! It’ll reopen with a new menu, so be sure to check it out before you head back!
A lot of the same dishes will still be available like their pizza! There are also some salads, pasta dishes, and a new Parmesan Chicken Sandwich!

There are a lot of family-friendly options here, and there’s a new Blue Lagoon lemonade that we’re excited to try!
This is a great option if you’re dining with a big group, but it does get a little pricey! Check out our full review for more details on that!

Satu’li Canteen
Satu’li Canteen is a quick service restaurant in Pandora, the world in Animal Kingdom styled after the movie Avatar. It has plenty of inside dining space, so it’s a really good option if it’s a little too hot or rainy outside! And the inside has some really fun Avatar-themed decor!
The main dish you’ll see here are the build-your-own bowls filled with your choice of meat, grain, and sauce. These bowls are super tasty, but that’s not all we’ve loved at Satu’li Canteen!
We also love the Cheeseburger Pods here! The pods are steamed buns with a filling that tastes just like a cheeseburger! There’s also a kids’ meal that has just one Cheeseburger Pod, so if you’re looking for a smaller meal it’s a good option!

Pongu Pongu
Pongu Pongu is also in Pandora in Animal Kingdom — not far from Satu’li Canteen! This is a good option if you’re after some drinks or lighter snacks, although our favorite snack isn’t exactly small…
We love the Colossal Pretzel with beer cheese sauce from here! There’s also the Pongu Lumpia (a sweet spring roll flavored with pineapple) and the Night Blossom — a super popular non-alcoholic drink with flavors of apple and pear limeade!
So if the hearty Satu’li Canteen bowls are a little too much for your snacking needs, we’d recommend Pongu Pongu every time!

Restaurantosaurus
We would recommend eating at Restaurantosaurus — we would not recommend trying to spell it. Oof. But the food here is pretty good! It’s especially a good pick if you have picky kids, as the menu items are mostly things like hot dogs, chicken nuggets, and cheeseburgers.
We think the best part, though, is the lounge, where you can get drinks instead! We LOVED the Pineapple Upside Down Shake that we got there recently!
We’ve tried several drinks, but our favorite one isn’t on the regular menu! We shared our secret menu find in a review, and we want to tell you all about it!

Table Service Restaurants
Nomad Lounge
Nomad Lounge is a bar connected to Tiffin’s in Animal Kingdom, and it’s one of the best-kept secrets of the park! The Lounge has some delicious drinks and also serves the Tiffin’s Signature Bread Service!
We’ve had some unusual dishes (like this interesting soup!) and some great drinks here like this spicy margarita!
But recently we went off the beaten path and tried some food — from the kid’s menu! Don’t judge, we’ve all wanted to order off the kid’s menu sometimes!

Tusker House
Tusker House recently reopened in Harambe Village in Animal Kingdom! We went back to check on some of our old favorites there, and we were not disappointed!
Some of the best things we had were the bread service, the house-made mac ‘n’ cheese, and the Moroccan spiced beef!
It’s also a character dining spot, so if you’re hoping to see Mickey and the gang while you eat, this is the place for you!

Yak and Yeti
Yak and Yeti is actually a sort of controversial restaurant! It has a great atmosphere with some really fun decor.
This is a spot where you just need to know what to order and what to avoid!
We tried some of their newer menu items like the amazing Ahi Tuna Nachos…
…and we’d love to share what we thought with you!

Tiffins
Tiffins is a fancier restaurant with prices to match, but we think the unique atmosphere and tasty food make it worth the extra pull on our wallets!
If you’re not sure where to start on the menu, we’d love to share some of our favorite dishes with you!
Spoiler Alert: One of our favorite things here is the spiced chickpea falafel appetizer!
