Hello to all of our DFB Friends. We’re at one of our favorite cookie joints at Disney Springs again because, well, we love cookies.
Yep, we’re talking about Gideon’s Bakehouse, and we’re busy trying out some new monthly flavors (and we’re still happily remembering some old favs, too, including the Original Chocolate Chip, the Coffee Toffee, and the spicy Eternal Flame — and don’t even get us started on the amazing cake slices there!)
In case you’re unaware, Gideon’s releases new cookie flavors every month and we’ve got to try them out. And today is August 1st, so there are new cookies to try!
And what caught our eye on the menu is a brand new Evening-exclusive cookie — the Dark Coffee Cake Cookie. It’s available at sunset until it sells out. YUM! Oddly enough, the Morning-exclusive cookie is just a regular Coffee Cake Cookie. Actually, both sound amazing.
Well, you know us — we’re going to try all the new cookies, including the brand new Rocky Road Cookie, and hopefully we’ll get to try the evening-exclusive cookie soon!

I would do it, in about 20 foot increments since I’m old and fat. Lol

Gideon’s cookies are good, though certainly not worth the wait to get them. I personally find them overly salty and sweet, which explains why so many people like them (take your BP medicine before having one of these cookies).
The Springs has many other equally good (or better) snack offerings, many without the wait.
With that said, many will still do the wait, and then offer similar comments to future guests, just as I have done.

Any idea on what time you would need to arrive to get in the virtual que to get the evening exclusive cookie?
DFB Sarah says
Kris, we would guess at least three hours ahead of time, but one of our reporters tells me you might want to talk to a Cast Member earlier in the day to see what they recommend.
