Alright Disneylanders, we’ve got BIG news today.
Yesterday, Disneyland teased its new Annual Pass program called Magic Key. Disneyland’s previous Annual Passholder program was discontinued at the beginning of this year and we’ve been waiting for its replacement. Let’s learn more about Magic Key!Â
This new program comes in tiers, with different benefits depending on what you pay for your pass.
The highest tier is the Dream Key for $1399 per person. This tier includes free parking (excluding blockout days), 20% off of merchandise, 15% off of select food and beverage, no blockout dates for the parks, and the ability to book 6 theme park reservations 90 days in advance.
The second tier is the Believe Key, which is $949 per person. It includes 50% off of theme park parking and 10% off of merchandise, along with select food and beverage. This pass includes some blockout dates but Believe Keyholders can make up to 6 theme park reservations at a time.
Next up is the Enchant Key for $699, which comes with more blockouts, 4 theme park reservations, and 10% discounts on merchandise, food, and beverage. Finally, you’ll have the Imagine Key for $399. This last pass allows 2 theme park reservations and 10% discounts like the others. The Imagine Key is only available for Southern California residents living in zip codes 90000 to 93599.
Disney even released a helpful graphic detailing the various categories, their costs, and their benefits. Check it out below:
Magic Keys will be available beginning August 25th, 2021, no earlier than 10AM PST. Those who purchase a pass on August 25th will be able to make theme park reservations to visit Disneyland Resort starting that same day.
Special benefits of the new pass (besides those already listed) include “a dedicated dining experience and custom menu items at the Magic Key terrace, special offerings at our festivals just for Magic Key holders, a Magic Key holder celebration month, plus other unique surprises!” It’s also important to note that those with a Magic Key pass will still be required to make theme park reservations to visit Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure.
And as an added bonus, those who buy a Magic Key pass in the first 66 days (to celebrate the 66th anniversary of Disneyland Resort) will receive a special welcome package. This package includes a premium branded pin, celebratory button, magnet, and more. Starting on September 1st, Magic Key holders can visit Starcade in Tomorrowland to “enjoy charging stations, a special photo opportunity, and other fun surprises.”
It’s also important to note that due to the release of Magic Key, the Legacy Passholder program will come to a close at the end of the day on August 15th, 2021. After that day, benefits and discounts for Legacy Passholders will no longer be valid.Â

Pam, there’s really no way to know until Disney releases information. But we’ll update as soon as there is information about Disney World’s AP program.
