It has been a Star Wars day filled with lots of news!
Today Disney made several announcements about the highly anticipated Star Wars hotel, aka the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, and we’re going over some of the biggest new details we learned! We’ve covered pricing and dining, but what about some of the smaller details?
We’ve had LOTS of questions about the Star Wars hotel and today we have some answers!
Arrival Time
Disney has announced that guests should arrive between 1:00 and 4:00PM to “board” the Halcyon (aka enter the Galactic Starcruiser hotel).
Disney’s sample itinerary began as early as 1:00PM, so it might be wise to plan for an early as possible arrival within that window of time!

Parking
Valet parking is included in the price of your stay! This little perk will certainly add some convenience to your stay aboard the Galactic Starcruiser.
We aren’t sure if valet parking is a thing in space, but we won’t turn it down at Disney World!

Swimming Pools
There will be NO swimming pool on the Galactic Starcruiser. It makes sense for the immersive experience Disney is curating, as a pool in space isn’t super practical.
Disney assures guests that the packed itinerary during the two-night stay will be filled with so many activities that you probably won’t miss being able to swim!

Rooms
According to Disney, “The starcruiser features 100 well-appointed cabins and suites, each one radiating an atmosphere of elegance, style, comfort and exclusivity.” That’s a super small amount of people!
We know that there will be three room options available, known as the Standard Cabin, the Galaxy Class Suite, and the Grand Captain Suite. We anticipate that the very limited rooms will make reservations extremely competitive.

Databand
An exclusive Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser databand, aka a MagicBand, is included in the cost of your stay.
The databand will be used by guests for “access point” sensors on the ship. It will likely feature a special design only for hotel guests!

Reservations and Tickets
Admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is included in the price, and guests of the Galactic Starcruiser will not need park reservations either. The sample itinerary also includes ride reservations for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run during the visit to Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Rise of the Resistance still utilizes a virtual queue system and can at times be challenging to secure a boarding pass. If staying aboard the Galactic Starcruiser guarantees a ride on Rise — that’s another great perk!

Light Sabers
The lightsaber training experience will have an age limit. Guests must be at least 7 years old to participate.
This is important to note so that families with children younger than 7 do not board the Galactic Starcruiser expecting their kids to participate in the lightsaber experience only to be disappointed.
