Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser AKA the Star Wars hotel will be opening in Spring of 2022 in Disney World!
We’ve recently found out a TON of new details about the experience like the food, how the story works, secrets of the ship and more! But what many people have been most eagerly awaiting is the PRICES! And Disney just released a sample of what the voyage on the ship could cost you!
Simple Standard Cabin Rates have been revealed for the Starcruiser. The rates depend on your departure date, the number of guests in your cabin, and the type of cabin you choose.
If you have 2 guests per cabin, the trip will cost you $1,209 per guest, per night, or $4,809 total for your voyage.
If you have 3 guests per cabin, it will be $889 per guest, per night, or $5,299 for your whole trip.
And if you have 4 guests per cabin, it will cost you $749 per guest, per night or $5,999 for your entire voyage.
Disney said they will be releasing more details about when you can book your stay at a later time. We do know that meals are included in this pricing, as the hotel will operate more like a cruise ship than a normal hotel. Stay tuned to DFB for updates!

Read the fine print. Disney is basing the “extra guests” as kids, not adults. Disney expects that kids will not eat as much, nor will they consume alcohol and pricing is based on that. I am certain that it is the least expensive dates used. I would wager that staying during the peak periods, the cost will be significantly higher.
Tlaw says
Clearly this is the preliminary pricing (to get people to sign up) as it is missing the new Millennium Falcon airport run pricing (old mickey express), the premium access charge for the events, the extra upcharge for character dining (plus upcharges for the special food items).
On top of that. I suspect you are only permitted 45 minutes for dinner, similar to Olga’s.
With that said, I would still pay for the fast pass to check-in versus waiting the two hours. The 2 days reservation, or 48 hrs (actually less due to normal checkin/check out times) is $100/hr, so a $50 fast pass makes sense.
And don’t forget the extra $100 to pay for the Magic band that was once included in the hotel cost.
Fool me once Disney…..
Dan J says
Is this a joke?
No, I’m serious… am I missing something?
Pamela says
Disney is pricing couples and for sure families out of a trip to Disney unless you want to go in debt for the next hundred years or you are wealthy.
An average budget couple or family would not be able to go here for a vacation.
I’m just not talking about this place either……all of the hotels in Disney are ridiculous and then all the stuff that’s been taken away and now there is a charge.
Well, I wonder what Walt would say. The magic has become sprinkled with greed. Sad.
Raymond Rush says
I’ll be all over this. Gonna let them get the bugs out first. Learned to never be first at Disney.
Tlaw says
I was kinda joking about the dining upcharge, though Disney proved this wrong by just announcing the Star Wars Hotel Captain’s Table (for an additional upcharge) so you can have the blue shrimp.
I now suspect that the fancier drinks will also be an upcharge.
Will pay restrooms be next (maybe the new CEO can work that into the rest of WDW)?
Connie Vahlkamp says
As much as I would love to have this Star Wars Experience, I would also expect to have a meet and greet with the original cast of Star Wars for that price! Seriously, who can afford that???
Vanessa Linley-Wright says
This is pricing out most families especially us brits. What has happened to Disney recently, Walt wanted affordable accessible fun, he would be turning in his grave!!
Mike says
I might as well plan on going with Jeff Bezos.
Raquel says
It’s not as much as I thought it was going to cost. I would totally do it.!
ANNE FARINA says
TWO PEOPLE $1200.00 EACH FOR A NIGHT. i CAN BOOK THE ENTIRE WEEK FOR THAT PRICE AND DO THE WORLD. THANKS DISNEY FOR MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR US MID TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES UNABLE TO DO THE NEW EXPERIENCE. DISNEY HAS GOTTEN SOOOO EXPENSIVE AND WITH LESS EXTRAS ITS NOT WORTH GOING ANYMORE. WILL BE THINKING TWICE BEFORE WE BOOK ANYTHING AGAIN.
Brandon says
Disney is making it perfectly clear that their goal is to only have rich well-to-do families coming to their parks and attractions.
For example, I mean they are only allowing DELUXE resorts the privilege of the early and late hours into the parks (replacing Extra Magic hours).
Prices are through roof for tickets.
Plus the REDICULOUSLY priced After-Hours tickets for 3 hours.
And if they pull this Pay per experience fast pass crap on top of the rediculous park admission…
Ugh! I just give up on this place.

I used to be a die hard Disney fan. I have an extensive bounding wardrobe which stays packed due to our numerous trips we would take throughout the year. We stopped staying on property every time because of the parking fees. (There is a great Marriott property at the back gate which has a shuttle) The Magic Key is a 100% not worth it. As Florida residents we can still get Discover Disney tickets. Yes there are a couple of blackout dates but they are during times no sane Floridian would visit any theme park. The spontaneous trips of past are completely gone. The prices of everything are completely out of control. Yes, inflation is currently at a jaw dropping 5.8%, but still. This year we became passholders at another theme park & have been completely shocked by how well they treat us. I no longer have any desire to go to WDW. Now what to do with that wardrobe?
Megan says
Thank goodness I was sitting down or I would have fallen over. This is just outrageously expensive.
Only the uber-wealthy will be able to do this hotel.
Julie says
Are they kidding. Family loves Star Wars but this is outrageous Going to have to pass nothing is worth $5000 for two days
Melanie Durham says
Not as bad as I thought
Jason Garner says
I’m 50+ so I’m at that stage in my life now where I’ve grown up with Star Wars and now have loads of free time and disposable income (and I bet Disney are also thinking that) so yeah I’d happily pay that however I wouldn’t pay for this experience because (and this is where I think Disney have seriously miscalculated) I’m not interested in the current era of Star Wars.
My era is the original three films or at a stretch the three prequel films, so whereas I’d happily pay for an experience based around those six films I certainly wouldn’t for one based around the First Order era, maybe in five years time they will have voyages based around the earlier films.

Hi, Brandon. Just wanted to correct one point: Early Theme Park entry will apply to all Disney Resort guests. It’s the Expanded Evening Hours that will apply only to Deluxe/Deluxe Villa guests. Thanks for reading!
pattie says
We will not b doing that all we can say OMG
Robert Koceja says
The Magic has been eaten up buy greed.
Sherry says
I wish Walt were here. This is NOT at all what he wanted for “families”. If you remember, he wanted “All to come”. Those were his exact words when He opened Disney Land. Then again he probobly did not think ahead of all the “greed” that would be running HIS company. Been taking our family to WDW every year since 1980. Planning the trip use to be exciting and FUN. Now it is just TOTALLY STRESSFUL! Pay to park at a Disney Hotel, no more Magic Express Bus , no more complementary magic bands, pay for after hours events, get the family up at 7:00 AM to see who is able to get a time at Hollywood Studios for “Rise of the Resistance” then again at 1:00pm if dont get in at 7AM!!!!! Geeze!!! TOTALLY STRESSFUL!!!!
I miss Walt!
pattie says
The price that we pay to stay to stay n the resorts we should also b able to stay n extended park hours we just as good as the people stay n the deluxe villas we also spend money and it cost us other resort guest to stay n the resorts so we also spend money that’s very Unfair for disney to do that to other guest shame on disney fir that we will not ever pay to do any extra hours how greedy and unfair to think that all resort guest r not equals we r disgusted that’s what is wrong with the world now
pattie says
Sherry we sure agree with u Walt Disney did not do this it would break his heart to c what has happened and c his dream being destroyed
Christie D says
Its incredibly sad that they only want very rich people.
I have taken my daughter 3 times… and had planned to continue going every 18 months.
We just can’t.
There is not one perk for the average mom taking a child under 10.
Magic express… extra hours… dining plan … free fast pass. Yes! I could justify the cost with some perks and less stress.
Not anymore.
It’s pitiful and heartbreaking to lose something you love because you can’t afford it and the thought of uber planning and STILL not getting to do things is overwhelming.
Universal here we come!
