With the 50th Anniversary of Disney World right around the corner, Disney has been busy at work updating a myriad of its hotels and attractions!
One of the hotels that is getting a facelift is Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Disney is updating the entrance, monorail station, and overhauling guest rooms to a Moana theme. Although the resort is officially open again and we got a look at the brand new Moana rooms, we have an update about the entrance for you today!
As we were making our way around the Polynesian today we noticed a lot of work being done to the facade of the resort. One of the new additions we spotted was some new panels that brighten up the front entrance of the hotel!
These panels are giving us some serious tropical vibes and match the feel of the resort perfectly!
We continue to see plenty of activity at the Poly, so we are hopeful all of the updates will be done soon.
We continue to make progress on the outside of the hotel and the Monorail station, but we recently got to stay in one of the newly re-themed Moana rooms and loved it!
The closer we get to the 50th Anniversary, the more excited we get! And the progress on these construction projects it even more exciting! Stay tuned to DFB for all the updates on the Polynesian and Disney World’s 50th Anniversary!

Not really a big fan of the IP I jection, but I get it. The front entrance update isn’t awful. The worst Poly update was the “un-lushing” of the lobby. I will never get over that. My first stay on property was a family vacation in a honey moon suite in what used to be the bali Hai building, it was the only room left, my Dad waited in line as they have away in claimed rooms, cost? $55/night
