Love Disney? Love baking? Love competition shows? Then we’ve got some news for you!
If you’ve already finished watching Be Our Chef on Disney+ and are craving some more Disney cooking magic, then there’s a new show you might want to check out and experiences in both Disney World and Disneyland just for you!
Get ready to watch some talented kiddos whip up some magic with Disney Channel‘s new show — Disney’s Magic Bake-Off! This show is Disney Channel’s first baking competition series for kids. It will be hosted by Issac Ryan Brown and Dara Renee. Disneyland Resort pastry chef Graciela “Gracie” Gomez will serve as a baking judge.
The show itself will premiere on Disney Channel this Friday, August 13th, and it will also be available to view on DisneyNOW. Also, on August 20th, a special episode featuring a Disney Parks challenge will air.
If you’ll be visiting Disneyland Resort later this summer, you’ll get to experience something special related to this show. From August 20th through the 22nd, 2021, there will be a new, FREE experience offered at the Downtown Disney District stage. During this event, kids (ages 7-12) will be able to “put their skills to the test decorating cupcakes with Disneyland Chef Gracie” all while a DJ spins some great tunes.
The event is free, but space is limited. There will be showings at 5PM, 6PM, and 7PM. Parents can sign up their kids starting at 4PM each day. You’ll want to head to the Downtown Disney District stage and speak with the Cast Member there to sign up for the afternoon showings on the day of your visit.
Once the kiddos are done decorating their cupcakes, the whole family can head over to the Downtown Disney District courtyard near the stage to take some pictures with the 2 photo walls. These photo walls are already up, so you can check them out on your upcoming visits.
If you’ll be visiting Disney World instead of Disneyland, you’ll still find some fun related to the Bake-Off show over at Disney Springs. Next to the Disney’s Days of Christmas Store, guests will find a photo wall for the Bake-Off show. The photo wall will only be available during August. Look for the QR code on the wall and scan it for a special surprise!
Want to know more about the Bake-Off show itself? Well, during the series 3 teams of 2 will work to design Disney-inspired cakes using Tastemade recipe videos. The winning recipe will actually become a featured Tastemade video. Check out the trailer for the show below:
