Disney’s After Hours BOO Bash replaced Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year. Even though it’s a shorter event that’s a little more expensive, the available spots have filled up quick and tickets have sold out and been restocked multiple times.
We’ve been wondering if the After Hours event will mean shorter lines and wait times. Now that the time is finally here, we can bring you all the coverage of what crowds are looking like at Disney’s After Hours BOO Bash!
Are the crowds small enough to make the downsized event worth it? Or did everyone and all their friends turn up to celebrate Halloween in the Magic Kingdom? Let’s find out!
When we first came into the Magic Kingdom for the party at 7PM, crowds were looking a little heavy right at the gate!
We figured this was because it was a mix of the day guests as well as the After Hours party-goers, but after they re-opened ticket sales after previously being sold out we were a little skeptical.
BOO Bash really got started at 9:30PM, when the park was closed to regular day guests, and at that point, things really started to thin out across the park.
Don’t get us wrong, when you put our favorite Hundred Acre Woods citizens in costumes, people definitely showed up. Even when the crowds came for the characters, we still had all the space we needed.
Wait times for rides were also lower than we have seen them in a LONG time. At 10:30, an hour into the party, the longest wait time was 25-minutes for the Haunted Mansion.
Even over at Cinderella Castle, there was enough room to do cartwheels!
Looking down the other way at Main Street, U.S.A was more of the same low crowds!
The crowds were truly low and the kingdom felt pretty empty overall. Keep following DFB, because we’re bringing you all the info from Disney World’s first-ever After Hours BOO Bash!

Keep sugarcoating the crowds. 25 minutes for haunted mansion hardly seems worth the high price. No different than before.

Boo Bash Disney only sold a little bit of tickets then people wanted to go so Disney sold more . Disney is trying to make there money back from the pandemic . Christmas is next these both are to expensive tickets . If they lowered the cost more people would want to go .
