Who’s ready for some Halloween treats?!
We’ve seen the festive decorations and checked out the merchandise, but now we’re ready to try ALL the Halloween snacks available at Disney World this fall season. And there’s a new dessert at Disney’s Hollywood Studios that’s calling our name!
We’ve made it to Trolley Car Cafe (aka the Starbucks in Hollywood Studios), and we’re ready to test out the Pumpkin Mousse!
It’s available from August 10th through October 31st and it’s made with milk chocolate chai mousse filled with pumpkin bread. All of that is set atop a shortbread cookie with a vanilla buttercream leaf and chocolate stem to garnish. Doesn’t that sound delightful during this time of year?!
Just like the name and appearance suggests, the Pumpkin Mousse is definitely a snack for the people who LOVE pumpkin spice out there. Not only is the pumpkin a strong flavor, but the chai immediately stands out whenever you take a bite! The pumpkin bread in the middle is extra spicy too, which makes it blend really well into the overall taste of the treat (even if the texture is different compared to the soft mousse). The chocolate almost takes a backseat to the rest of the treat as a light aftertaste, and we don’t even mind!
The Pumpkin Mousse is extremely flavorful but the shortbread doesn’t have too much of a taste in comparison. Plus, it can get a bit on the mushy side with the amount of mousse on top! The glaze on the pumpkin also has a strange texture that some people might not like, along with the heavy focus on the chai flavor.
The Pumpkin Mousse might be more of a treat for the grown-ups since the flavors are a bit on the “sophisticated” side for younger guests. But, the Trolley Car Café also has the Spooky Ghost Cupcake for your kids, so everyone can kick off Fall the sweet way in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
If you want to try one for yourself, you can pick it up at Trolley Car Cafe until Halloween for just $5.49. We’ll continue testing out all the new treats in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB!

I have a question about Halloween not related to merchandise or food. Our party of 11 will include children but we will not be purchasing the Boo Bash tickets due to the extra cost. Grandson 3 wants to know if little kids will be about to trick or treat in stores Oct. 30th before the parks close for Boo Bash? Thank you for your consideration.
DFB Sarah says
Hi, Margi. Unfortunately, the Parks don’t have trick-or-treating except at the party/Boo Bash. Some stores in Disney Springs have done this in the past, but I don’t think we have any word on that this year. He may be able to “trick or treat” and receive some free Mickey stickers in a store (those round Mickey stickers they sometimes hand out), but that’s the only possibility I can think of. Perhaps you could stage some of your own family members inside a store and he could find them and trick or treat that way? I hope you all have a magical trip!
