Disney World may be the Most Magical Place on Earth, but sometimes things happen that you might not expect.
Rides can break down or experience technical issues, sometimes for extended periods of time; you may need to be evacuated off of a ride vehicle; or weather can cause complications. Today, the beloved Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover appeared to be experiencing some issues.
A huge thanks to our DFB reader, Amanda, for sending us this video! While Amanda was in the park, it appears the the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover was evacuated. In the video below, you can see guests walking on the upper platform where the PeopleMover is located.

It’s not clear what caused this issue or how long the ride will be unavailable. This is not the first time the PeopleMover has been evacuated in recent months. It has been evacuated several times, including during some testing on April 25th, on April 26th, on June 1st, and on June 2nd.

We were at MK on 8/13/21 right around the time this allegedly happened. We rode the PeopleMover right around that time. There was no “evacuation.” The ride stopped for about 3 minutes, and the resumed working normally. We got on it and had an uneventful ride. I have pics to prove it.
