If you’re heading to Magic Kingdom today, we’ve got an important reminder for you!

When planning your Disney World vacation, one thing you should keep an eye on is the park hours for each day of your trip. Even though park hours often follow a pretty consistent pattern, there might be exceptions that can throw you for a loop!
Case in point, today’s operating hours at Magic Kingdom are 9AM to 6PM. These park hours have been released for several months, so it wasn’t a last-minute change. BUT it might still come as a surprise to guests who didn’t check the hours for each day when making their Park Pass reservations!

Since the regular hours for the rest of August are all currently 9AM to 9PM, that means guests visiting today have 3 fewer hours in Magic Kingdom than those visiting for the rest of the month.

And that’s not the only important reminder about today’s hours! Since Magic Kingdom is closing at 6PM today, the fireworks show Happily Ever After will NOT be running tonight.

But there is a silver lining for Magic Kingdom guests today — we noticed some SUPER light crowds and low wait times in the park, which might mean that today’s shorter hours caused some guests to opt for another park!

This is another issue I have with DW. Besides regularly closing early , they change the operating hours all the time. Just keep it simple, open at 9:00 am and close at 11:00 pm every day 365 days a year.
The Magic Kingdom actually opened up at 8:00 am that day. The time was updated only a day or two before but fortunately, I double-checked it. It was a nice way to make up for the earlier closing time.
