Greetings from the 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival!
The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival has brought us delicious Greek food and excellent beer, but we’ve been missing some Irish-inspired dishes. The festival made its debut on July 15th and we’ve been waiting (not so) patiently for the opening of the Ireland booth on October 1st! However, we won’t have to wait until then to enjoy this booth!Â
Ireland is joining this year’s EPCOT Food and Wine lineup over a month early!
Menu
The 2021 Ireland menu features the return of the Fisherman’s Seafood Pie and Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake.
All you had to say was pudding cake, we’re ready to eat!
Food
We decided to start with the Fisherman’s Seafood Pie for $6.75. This is a delicious seafood pie with some nice big chunks of crab and potatoes! Despite being so small, this dish is a bit filling! There’s definitely a strong seafood flavor throughout, so make sure you love seafood before trying this one!
Making our way down the menu, we tried the Roasted Irish Sausage, served with Colcannon Potatoes and Onion Gravy, for $5.50 next.
This was really yummy! The onion gravy had a nice caramelized onion flavor that gave this dish a nice aromatic depth. The potatoes are your standard mashed potatoes, but the little bit of skin left on there added some nice texture! The two pieces of sausage really brought the dish together and made this a nice savory bite.
Lastly, we got to nom on the Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake, with Irish Cream Liqueur Custard, for $4.25.
Um…can we have ten of these please? This was sooooo good! Super rich and chocolatey, this one reminded us of a great bread pudding. The Irish cream liqueur custard was a great addition and gave this dish a nice cinnamony flavor with a hint of booze.
The cake was a great dish to share because it’s super rich and chocolatey!

Beverages
Of course, we had to try out one of the drinks, too! The Guinness Baileys Shake is a steep $11.50, but it’s really yummy. The strong stout flavor with the chocolate flavor and Baileys made this a great drink! Plus, you get an adorable Ireland cup that has the festival name on it!
This has been on our best of the fest lists before, so give it a try if you like Guinness and Baileys. Don’t expect this to be too similar to a milkshake, it’s a lot more on the boozy side, but very delicious!
Overall
The Ireland booth has been around for a long time, and we’re glad! The Warm Chocolate Pudding Cake was a definite highlight of this booth, so rich and chocolatey and delicious! You really can’t go wrong at this booth — the Seafood Pie and Irish Sausage were both delicious. If you’re looking to try some delicious Irish food, here’s your chance!

The crunch in the colcannon potatoes is not potato skin, it’s cabbage. At least it always has been in previous years.

Thanks for reaching out, Ashli. I’ve asked the reporter and editor to revisit.
