Disney World has some seriously next-level cinnamon rolls if you know where to look.
We tried the Halloween Mickey-shaped cinnamon roll in Disney’s Magic Kingdom today with high hopes that the made-over pastry would join the ranks of amazingly gooey treats from the park! Unfortunately, all our hopes were dashed just one bite in.
In the past, we loved the giant cinnamon rolls on the menu at the Main Street Bakery. So when we saw that the Halloween version of this treat was back, we rushed over to try it!
We waited patiently in line…
…until we saw what we came for: a Mickey-shaped cinnamon roll with orange-drizzle icing.
We even took the roll outside for the photoshoot of its life!
But when we bit into the much-anticipated treat, our joy deflated like a week-old Mickey balloon. We were expecting an ooey-gooey, fluffy roll with a strong cinnamon flavor and sweet notes from the orange icing. What did we get? A thin, hard roll that honestly tasted stale when we chewed. 😔
Despite the strong cinnamon smell, we could hardly taste any spice at all. Where did all the cinnamon go? That plus the dry bread just made this an overall sad experience. We just needed a fresh roll with more icing!
This was likely a bad batch! And you may have a very different cinnamon roll experience. BUT — on a happy note — you can still get the fluffy, gooey confection we ADORE over at Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland!
If you wanna give it a try, you can find it for $6.49 at the Main Street Bakery.
