If lacing up your shoes before the sun has risen and heading out the door to run through Disney Parks sounds like fun to you, then we’ve got some news for you!
A few months ago, runDisney announced that FOUR in-person race weekends would be returning to Disney World in 2021 and 2022 and we’ve been bringing you all the latest updates! We’ve gotten to see the new medals for the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend (which is quickly approaching) and checked out the new 50th Anniversary theming for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. And, now it’s time to start thinking about the next race weekend because some guests can already secure their spot!
As of 10AM EST, registration for Disney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend is NOW open for Club runDisney Gold & Platinum members! Just be sure that you’ve logged into your account to access the registration page.
The weekend is set to take place from February 24th to 27th and feature THREE different race distances including the 5K (themed after Cinderella) for $95…
…10K (themed after Tiana) for $135…
…and Half Marathon (themed after Mulan) for $210.
And, for those who can’t settle for just racing one of the distances, there’s the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge which costs $355 and involves participating in both the 10K AND the Half Marathon for a total of 19.3 miles all before the parks even open!
PLUS, this year’s weekend will include a BRAND NEW event called Disney Princess Sunrise Yoga, where you can find your zen bright and early in front of Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom!
And, early registration is just one of the perks for Club runDisney members! If you’re not familiar, Club runDisney is a new membership option that secures guests extra perks like guaranteed entrance into select races, upgraded corral placement, special meet and greet opportunities, and more depending on which level you choose to purchase.
For those who aren’t Club runDisney members, registration will open for all of the in-person races on August 24th, and just a few days later registration for all the virtual events will open on August 27th. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more details about the upcoming runDisney race weekend (including the medals!!), so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest!
