Hello from Disney World. We’re hanging out at the parks today checking out food, merchandise, 50th anniversary decor, and more!
But we’re also going to hop on some rides because we were in for a surprise today — the crowds are really low right now! And wait times are short. Is this the least crowded we’ve seen Disney World all summer?
It makes sense — kids have gone back to school and it’s the middle of the week. But we were seriously enjoying having lots of space to wander all over Disney’s Animal Kingdom today! Look at this! It’s so peaceful this morning.
There were fewer people hanging around in front of the Tree of Life than we’re used to.
We’re not complaining — we love it when it’s like this!
It’s even quiet inside stores.
And wait times are incredibly low — only 40 minutes for Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey?!
Other wait times are even lower than that. Only 5 minutes for most other attractions! That’s practically walk-on!
And we saw the same later at Magic Kingdom. Even Fantasyland looked like a ghost town…
And check this out — the posted wait time for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train was only 45 minutes!
Excuse us while we enjoy a nice relaxing day at Disney World. And we’ll continue to keep an eye on the crowds and let you know what they look like, so stay tuned.

I imagine the insane COVID numbers are also keeping people away

It wouldn’t be this way if us Brits and Europeans were allowed into the US! This hurts so badly as this is the second year we’ve missed out on our booked vacation and had to endure seeing photos and vlogs showing low queue times. (Yeah, I know, “first world problems”…)

Hmmm, interesting…

and maybe people are travelling less due to the virus being worse again?

Yes, we went Monday and Wednesday (and going tomorrow) and EPCOT was empty, MK pretty light, and HS light. Hope AK is quite tomorrow, too. It was the first time ever we walked directly onto Soarin’ and The Land with no wait at all. Same with Pirates of the Caribbean.

Hopefully it’s like this during the last week in October when our family (4 generations) will be there.
