Slowly but surely, the restaurants of Disney World have been reopening.
We’ve certainly been reunited with some of our favorite Disney World restaurants, but we’re still waiting on many to reopen. Earlier this week, we got the news that Boma — Flavors of Africa will be reopening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (as the first buffet since the closure!), and now YOU can snag reservations!
Boma — Flavors of Africa will reopen on August 20th, 2021. This spot is a fan-favorite buffet that serves up a mix of African dishes and American favorites during breakfast and dinner services.
Reservations for Boma are NOW OPEN, so you can start making your plans for a meal at the restaurant for August 20th or later, up to 60 days out from your trip. At the time of writing, reservations are completely booked for August 20th and 21st, but there are a few reservations remaining on August 22nd (and more beyond).
Breakfast service at Boma runs from 7:30AM to 11AM and dinner service runs from 5PM to 9:30PM. Buffet pricing for breakfast is $29 per adult and $16 per child; pricing for dinner is $49 per adult and $27 per child.
Again, Boma is a fan-favorite spot so if you want to make sure you net a reservation, you’ll want to book soon! Keep an eye on DFB for all the latest Disney World updates and more!

I had my alarm set for “normal” start trying time, but nothing. Then I had to get up 2 hours later, nothing? It seemed? I was half-asleep still. Then I was busy ALL day…finally got home, figured…well…maybe… Got a 9:05 on my first night in Disney in Sept, so now I just have to figure out how I’m going to get back to my hotel after such a great meal. ^_^;; I’ve never been as I’m basically on my first trip (I was a child and things have changed so much since the 90s), but this seemed like a wonderful thing to try.

DJ Moves, you might take a bus from AKL to Disney Springs, then switch over (if you’re staying in a Disney Resort) at the bus stop at Disney Springs. Otherwise, a rideshare might be more comfortable when you’re full from the Boma buffet! I’ve enjoyed Boma a few times over the years; I hope you love it!
