Disney World weather can be unpredictable!
If you’ve got a trip next week, we want to make sure you’re ready for whatever sun or storms you might see. Get your packing list out, we’re taking you through next week’s Disney World weather forecast and how to prepare!
Weather Forecast
Summer is starting to wane in Disney World but we are NOT saying goodbye to the heat just yet. It’s still the hot and rainy season (as we saw last week too), but it looks like this week might ACTUALLY switch things up.
According to The Weather Channel, several days this week have a relatively LOW rain chance and we might have some completely dry days! What a surprise! Let’s look at the specifics.
August 23rd
Monday, August 23rd will start the week with temperatures in the high 80s; it doesn’t look like the heat is leaving us yet. It doesn’t help that the humidity is up above 70%, but it might not be SUPER humid the whole week.
Get ready for an 89 degree high and a 77 degree low. But keep in mind that that high humidity can make the temperature feel around ten degrees higher.
August 24th
The next day, August 24th gets a touch hotter up to a high of 91 degrees and a low of 76 degrees. Here, the rain chance drops all the way down to 24% which is the lowest we’ve seen in a loooong time.
This is the first day of the week where we might stay dry! Maybe we are stepping out of the rainy season after all.
August 25th
On Wednesday, August 25th, we’re going to see another scooch up to 92 degrees during the day and the mid-70s at night.
UV Levels vary next week. They stay on the high end of the scale though, so keep that sunscreen on. No rain might mean you stay dry, but it also means more time that you’re standing in the hot sun.
August 26th
For Thursday, August 26th expect a similar day with a high temperature of 92 degrees and a low temperature of 75. And, it’s our THIRD dry day in a row (hopefully).
Rain is possible on these days but it’s certainly a lower chance than we’ve seen recently. We recommend packing a rain layer just in case (especially since the forecast changes so much in Florida)!
August 27th
This week’s temperatures are pretty consistent as you can tell. Friday we’re seeing a day dip a liiiiiittle down to a 91 degree high and a 75 degree low on August 27th.
Hopefully the fact that the forecast has clouds most of the week will help to break up the constant sun. A cloudless, 90 degree day can be PRETTY uncomfy.
August 28th
And on to Saturday, we’re seeing another day with warm temperatures and the return of afternoon showers and storms. There’s that summer weather we’re used to!
August 28th has a high of 91 degrees and a low of 76 degrees.
August 29th
Finally, we wrap up the week on August 29th with another warm day and a pretty standard rain chance.
Days are getting a little shorter too! Expect daylight from around 7AM to around 8PM this time of year.
Overview of the Week
Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures are projected to hang out in about the same place for the whole week. We’re looking at a range of high 80s to low 90s highs and mid 70s lows.

Tips for Weathering the Weather!
Now you know you might end up stuck in the rain and standing in the heat, so here are some tips for being prepared!
Pack for heat.
You might think that a hot day is ideal for a Disney vacation, but these SUPER hot days can actually be dangerous! Odds are you’re not used to walking almost ten miles in a day in near-100-degree temperatures, and that can cause some problems.
There are a few ways to stay safe! First of all, listen to your body! If you’re feeling tired or overheated, it’s probably time to take a break. Head inside to find some AC and a cup of iced water to make sure you’re staying safe.
You’ll also want to keep yourself safe and comfy by staying hydrated all day, wearing sunglasses or a hat, and applying (and reapplying!) lots of sunscreen! One thing worse than a bad sunburn in Disney World, is getting really, really sick from the heat.

Pack for rain.
Toss that rain layer in your suitcase, you’re probably going to need it. Florida rain is VERY hard to predict. It’s in the forecast most days and you never know when a sudden storm will sail over the parks. It’s best to have that poncho or rain jacket on hand in case the skies open up!
Plus, even if it doesn’t rain, rain layers can sure come in handy for water rides! You’ll also want to prioritize the outdoor attractions in the morning. Rain and lightning can sometimes close these rides in the afternoons!
