Calling all milkshake fans! BoardWalk Ice Cream in Disney World has a new menu addition.
Maybe you’ve already tried the Candy Corn Milkshake in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and you’re looking for your next Disney World milkshake to try. Well, you’re in luck! BoardWalk Ice Cream just added milkshakes to the menu! And you know what’s better than trying only one milkshake? Trying TWO milkshakes!
In May of this year, BoardWalk Ice Cream opened on Disney World’s BoardWalk. We happened to be at Disney’s BoardWalk today and noticed that milkshakes have been added to the menu, including Vacation Vanilla, Strawberry Riptide, Coastal Chocolate, Cookies ‘n Cream and Currants, Plant-based Vanilla Cyclone, and Plant-Based Chocolate Cyclone for $5.49 each. Of course we had to try some!
We chose two classic milkshake flavors to try: Strawberry Riptide and Cookies ‘n Cream and Currants! The Cookies ‘n Cream and Currants Milkshake is made with Oreo sandwich cookies blended with vanilla soft serve ice cream and then covered with whipped cream sprinkled with crushed Oreos and a cherry. We kind of have to wonder whether BoardWalk Ice Cream meant to put Currents (like ocean currents) instead of Currants, because this milkshake had no berries in it.
The Strawberry Riptide Milkshake is vanilla soft serve blended with strawberry purée and topped with whipped cream, red sprinkles, and a cherry. It’s such a pretty pink color.
We loved both of these new milkshakes! Cookies ‘n cream ice cream fans will love the Cookies ‘n Cream Milkshake. Lids are optional but as you can see, we recommend you ask for a lid so your milkshake doesn’t drip like ours did.
Even with the lid, you still get plenty of whipped cream! Strawberry Riptide was especially good because it was blended with strawberries, not just flavored with strawberry syrup. For $5.49 each, these are a great portion for the price.
It’s a pretty safe bet that if you like Oreos or strawberries you would like either (or both!) of these milkshakes. And with the menu offering plant-based milkshake options, it could be a great place for any group to cool off on a hot day.
You can find these and the rest of the milkshakes on Disney’s BoardWalk at BoardWalk Ice Cream. Keep reading DFB for all your new Disney World food news and updates!

Did anyone else read the Cookies ‘n Cream and Currants one as like…having actual currents in it? Like the little dried berry things? I was like “weird combo but okay…”

Yes, Stephanie!

As a lover of ice cream, I think this is a sad replacement for the many creative IC varieties of Ample Hills Creamery that formerly occupied this space.

Remember the imagineers also misspelled keister when they re-did the pool slide (it was originally spelled kiester). I wonder if this is the same case?
