Disney Princess fans — it is YOUR week to shine!
Today marks the first day of World Princess Week, and Disney World is celebrating in a bunch of different ways! There is new merchandise, Princess-themed treats, and even a special playground dedicated to Tiana in EPCOT. But today, we’re trying out a NEW cupcake in Disney World based on the Frozen franchise!
Anna and Elsa are some of the most popular Disney princesses (and queens) from recent years, so it only makes sense that they have their own treat this week! We headed over to Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion at EPCOT to check out the Sisters Cupcake.
The cupcake is a Strawberry Cupcake with Strawberry Filling and Strawberry Buttercream topped with a White Chocolate Crown. The frosting is light blue (with snowflake sprinkles) on one side…
…and purple (with colorful sprinkles) on the other side…
…to represent BOTH sisters in one dessert! The crown in the middle is said to be chocolate, but it tasted more like fondant to us.
We were a little nervous that all of the strawberry flavors would be too sweet, but we were pleasantly surprised at how lite and fresh this cupcake tasted! We could tell that this cupcake actually used fresh strawberries, and we picked up on a nice tart flavor rather than that syrup-y sweet flavor you may find in other desserts. We even discovered hidden chocolate pearls in the icing that added a nice crunch.
You can give this cupcake a try for $5.99. We’ll keep you up-to-date on the latest from Princess Week in Disney World, so stay tuned!
EPCOT has ended its Princess Promenade — here’s where you can catch the Princesses instead!
