Welcome to Princess Week at Disney World! During Disney’s Ultimate Princess Celebration, we’ve been enjoying seeing all kinds of fun things dedicated to our favorite Disney heroines.
So far, we’ve checked out a NEW playground dedicated to Tiana, munched on some snacks devoted to our favorite princesses, and checked out all kinds of wonderful and new princess merchandise. And did we mention snacks? We did? Well, let us mention it again…there are limited time princess snacks in the parks right now and (of course) we’ve been making our way through some of them! Recently, we got the chance to try a new snack themed to a very special princess — Belle!
Earlier today, we grabbed the Belle Cheesecake, which is Lemon Cheesecake (though to us it tasted mainly like plain cheesecake) with Lemon Curd in a Vanilla Tart Shell, and it is priced at $6.99. This thing is a real beauty (see what we did there?)!
The Belle Cheesecake is donut-shaped with a hollow center. Disney also describes the treat as having modeling chocolate as part of the decoration, though from what we got we found it to have a few crispy pearls, a dark chocolate rose petal, and a yellow fondant “dress” decoration on top of a portion of the glazed, yellow icing on the treat.
The pastry tart was filled with lemon curd and we LOVED the mixture of the cheesecake and tart lemon flavors. The tart shell was perfect and had a nice, buttery flavor.
For $6.99, we thought it was kind-of a small portion for the price, especially considering that it’s hollow. Also, it didn’t really need the fondant dress portion on top, but it sure did look beautiful, and overall the treat tasted amazing!
If you’re not a fan of lemon or citrusy flavors, you might not like the Belle Cheesecake because it’s VERY lemony. But if you are a lemon person, you will probably want to make a stop for this!
If you’d like to get your hands on this cheesecake, be sure to make your way to Le Petit Cafe at Disney’s Riviera Resort where you can pick it up for $6.99. Just note that Le Petit Cafe tends to bring out their specialty treats (like this one) around lunchtime. In the morning, they tend to keep their breakfast pastries in the pastry case. So be sure to keep that in mind. Also, note that World Princess week only lasts through August 29th, so you’ll want to check out these special treats while they’re still available.
