Hello from a very rainy Magic Kingdom!
On our walk around the park today, we noticed that not all the rides were up and running. Rides can close for a variety of reasons in Disney World, including technical difficulties, safety concerns, and bad weather. One BIG ride has been shut down all day in the Magic Kingdom.
In Frontierland, Splash Mountain wasn’t looking very…well…splash-y when we walked by.
We asked a Cast Member, and they confirmed that the ride has been down all day.
Later, we received a notification from the Disney app that Cast Members are working to get the attraction running again.
Although the ride will close in the future for the Princess and the Frog re-theming, this process hasn’t started yet. Disney hasn’t released a timeline for the project. The ride’s closure today is temporary, and we’re expecting to see Splash Mountain running again soon.

Why are so many rides/attractions going down so frequently. From time to time, there were always a ride going down from time to time, but this seems to be very frequent @nd excessive. I question whether they are conducting the same maintenance standards that they did before. Perhaps they are short staffed and simply keep up with previously established standards. Whatever it is, they need to get on top of it. What a disappointment.

Disney World is a diaster with so many rides closed and no entertainment or shows. WDW management needs to go!
