Did you hear the news?!
The NBA Experience has officially closed for good. Now, we’re seeing changes at the NBA Experience’s location in Disney World.
If you don’t know much about the NBA Experience in Disney World, you’re not alone. The attraction was only open for about eight months before all of Disney World shut down in March of 2020.
Now, Disney World is reopening restaurants, hotels, and attractions, but the NBA Experience won’t be returning with everything else. When we walked by this morning, we saw that the signs had all been removed from the location.
The space that held this attraction is pretty dang big, but we don’t know yet what Disney might have planned to fill it.
We’ll keep an eye out for possible replacements to this attraction! Keep following DFB for all the Disney World news.

As, what appears to be, a rare crossover NBA and Disney fan I could never figure out what either entity was thinking with this venture. I’m a big fan of both and still could never see myself spending a second of time or cash at this experience. Tough to envision what the path to success would have been even in ideal circumstances.

A rare Disney mistake. They do make them, they are not usually this big, but this one qualifies as a fo-pa in the largest sense. NBA and Disney Springs just do not go together, that is why ESPN is at the Boardwalk and the Wide World of Sports is way out in left field. Now, what will go in this huge space….

How about a new imagined Disney Quest with state of the art games? Closing DQ was a terrible idea. They could have easily updated it. We were there for the soft opening and went every year until it closed. It was a lot of fun when it first opened. Closing it to put in the NBA Ex, was stupid planning! It didn’t work at Universal’s City Walk, so why did Disney think it would work at Downtown Disney? Waste of money!
