We hope you’re feeling SPOOKY!!!
Halloween might still be almost two months away, but the spooky season is practically upon us. We’ve already caught sight of some fiendish festivities in Disney World and now Halloween has OFFICIALLY arrived in Disneyland! Let’s take a look around!
Disneyland Decorations
Disneyland Park is DECKED OUT with Halloween decor. Check out the ICONIC Mickey Pumpkin sitting in the middle of Main Street, U.S.A.!
Of course, Halloween decorations continue down the street too with Halloween bunting and cute little pumpkin characters.
Mickey was dressed in his Halloween best! Mickey always looks cute, but we especially love vampire Mickey.
And Minnie was around dressed in her favorite witch costume too!
Disneyland HalloweenTime is certainly a great time to visit the parks with all the cute decorations, merchandise, and food!
Of course, fall in Disneyland Park also means the return of Haunted Mansion Holiday with its much-loved Nightmare Before Christmas overlay! Ready to get spooked?
We love spotting Jack Skellington and the gang hanging out around Haunted Mansion. This overlay did not return in 2020 so we are VERY excited to see it again this year.
Disney California Adventure Decorations
En route to Disney California Adventure via Downtown Disney, you might spot this sinister Headless Horseman Statue.
And the decorations don’t stop in the park! Carthay Circle is decked out for the All Hallows’ Eve Celebration. We LOVE the detail of the bats flying through the upper windows.
This area also has some batty light post banners.
Cars Land is all prepped for Haul-O-Ween. Their scarecrow is the perfect mix of scary and cute.
And the Plaza de la Familia has returned! This Coco-inspired area celebrates Dia de Los Muertos! Today, the area was set aside for a Halloween media preview before its official opening, so we headed on in.
The theming is GORGEOUS in this celebratory space. Look at the Mexican Árbol de la Vida (or Tree of Life)! Activities in the Plaza de la Familia include watching A Musical Celebration of Coco, meeting Miguel, posting messages on the Memory Wall, designing your own alebrije masks of Dante and Pepita, and watching Mariachi concerts.
Miguel even made an appearance to say hi during our visit today!
Halloween Merchandise
Part of our preview today meant we got to take a look at some of the upcoming and already-released Halloween merchandise. There’s some classic pumpkin merchandise…
…a whole Haunted Mansion collection…
…Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise, and more!
Halloween Food
AND we got to take a peek at the eats. Get ready — there’s a LOT to see. Here you can spot the Cozy Cone Macaron coming to Cozy Cone Motel, the Bat Cookie coming to Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, and the Chocolate Cherry Cake coming to French Market.
Halloween is a GREAT time for chocolate apples like the Minnie Witch Apple.
Halloween Grey Stuff looks devilishly delicious!
And we can’t WAIT to try the Cookies & Cream Macaron!
Near the BEAUTIFUL Coco Cake, we also spotted a Pollo Verde Wet Burrito and Tortitas de Papa — plus the Oogie Boogie Crispy.
We’re excited about the return of the Halloween Candy Funnel Cake Fries…
…and we’re PUMPED to try the Chocolate & Matcha Churro.
Finally, Halloween wouldn’t be complete without the ICONIC Poison Skull Apple (plus some fun glow cubes and souvenirs!).
There is a LOT to see in Disneyland Resort this Halloween season so get ready to get spooky! We’ll be bringing you a LOT of treat reviews in the coming days and OF COURSE heading to Oogie Boogie Bash next week so stay tuned to DFB so you don’t miss any of the ghoulish fun!
