If you’re heading to Disney World soon, you’ll want to know what attractions and hotel areas will be unavailable during your trip!
We’re checking all the rides, hotels, and attractions around the parks to see what is going to be CLOSED in Disney World next week.Â
For this coming week, the only park with attraction closures is Disney’s Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom Closures
On Main Street, U.S.A., the Main Street Confectionery is still closed for refurbishments.
Updates are coming to the inside of the sweet shop, so it’s going to be closed for the foreseeable future — at least through late October of this year according to Disney’s calendar.
If you’re looking for a sweet treat in the Magic Kingdom, Big Top Treats over in the Storybook Circus land is open now and serving up some cute Halloween treats!
The Walt Disney Word Railroad is also closed due to construction in Tomorrowland that interrupted the train tracks.
On the bright side, there’s a new 50th Anniversary sign in front of the Main Street, U.S.A. Station that you can see when you enter the park!
The Tomorrowland construction is for the new TRON roller coaster, which doesn’t have a finish date yet. So we aren’t sure when the railroad will be back, but it will likely not be until the TRON ride is finished.
That’s it for closed attractions this week in Disney World! Now let’s head to the hotels to see what’ll be closed there.
Disney World Hotel Closures
A few hotels haven’t reopened yet, including Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, the Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts, and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort. These are set to reopen before the end of this year.
Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is getting some updates to its lobby, which should last through October 2021. The check-in area is still located in the lobby, or you can use your My Disney Experience app to check-in and head straight to your room when you arrive!
Disney’s Old Key West Resort and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa are both getting lobby updates as well. Cast Members and signs will direct guests to temporary check-in areas.
At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the Monorail Station is still unavailable because of construction updates.
For now, guests can use buses or the walking path to get to the Magic Kingdom.
Disney’s Contemporary Resort wins the award for the most construction projects right now, with updates coming to guest rooms, the lobby, and a restaurant inside.
The guest rooms are being re-done with an Incredibles theme!
The lobby is getting updates as well, so guests are being asked to check in on the second floor, where concierge services are also available.
The Wave…of American Flavors is undergoing a big transformation, as it’s being re-done as Steakhouse 71.
The new restaurant will open in time for 50th Anniversary Celebrations, which begin on October 1st of this year.
