Not too long ago, we investigated a major Disney World mystery: where had all the POG juice gone? Drinks with POG, which stands for Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava, had been disappearing all over Disney World, with restaurants uncertain when they’d have this delicious elixir again.
Today, we have some good news about the mysterious disappearance of POG juice!
We stopped by Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and noticed something…POG Juice was back! We asked the server for some more info on the whole POG situation and found out that due to the shortage, Disney changed their source for their POG to Nestle. It was previously supplied by Minute Maid/Coca-Cola.Â
So what does this mean for Disney World? Well, this means cocktails with POG (also known as Jungle Juice and other names around Disney World) are back too. In fact, we grabbed a Ngumu Jungle Juice with Snow Leopard Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps, and Tusker’s famous Jungle Juice today over at Dawa Bar in Animal Kingdom for $13!
Despite the fact that the POG is from a new source, it tasted and looked pretty much the same to us. The booziness of the alcohol doesn’t really stand out and the POG was front and center in terms of flavor, just like it was before the POG shortage.
But, then we tried the POG juice on its own — without alcohol — and it was NOT the same. It tastes waaaay sweeter than it did before Disney switched suppliers!
The juice was definitely sweet before, but this new version made our teeth hurt. We think the alcohol in the Ngumu Jungle Juice was disguising this new POG flavor. It’s kind of disappointing, because we LOVED the old POG juice!
So, be warned, the new POG juice is super duper sweet. If you drink alcohol, we’d recommend getting it in an alcoholic drink if you want it to taste more like it did before Disney switched suppliers.
The new Nestle POG is now all throughout Disney World. But, if you can’t make a trip any time soon and still want to try it, you can make your very own batch of POG juice at home with this recipe! Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news and updates.

This article says the P in POG stands for Pineapple but I thought it’s always been Passion fruit? I had to double check against your home recipe that I wasn’t crazy 😂 Just a typo in this article or did they change the recipe?

I just got back from my last trip to the parks since January 2020 and had the POG juice at Ohana and it was weak and gross, nothing like it used to be at Boma. I thought maybe it was different because a different dining location but I guess the new supplier & recipe is definitely not the same and I’ll miss the old kind!

Is the jungle juice slush coming back?

Not sure if I ever had the old POG juice but last week I had the new and it was soooo tasty!! I don’t drink sugary drinks so it was too strong for me but the flavor was great!!

Hawaiian here. It’s definitely lilikoi, oe passion fruit, juice not pineapple. They should get it from Meadow Gold in Hawai’i, it’s silly they don’t at Aulani (I used to work there) Or at least Hawaiian Sun (if youre a tourist or rich) or Aloha Maid (if you local).
