Disney World’s Halloween festivities are in full swing, which means it’s time for cool decorations, spooky merchandise, and, of course, delicious treats.
Today, we’re in Disney Springs trying out a Halloween cocktail!Â
At the outdoor bar carts in Disney Springs, you can grab the Witch Way drink! This drink features Vodka, Blue Curaçao Beverage Syrup, Orange Juice, and Pineapple Juice and is meant to be garnished with a Poison Apple Glow Cube.
If you’re looking for it right now, you may have to ask. When we visited Disney Springs today, the cart we visited didn’t have the placard up for this drink yet, but they did have all of the ingredients to make it…well, almost all of the ingredients, but we’ll get to that later.
So, how did the drink taste this year? Well, here’s the thing — we like the occasional sweet drink, but this one was WAY too sweet (at least for us). Between all of the juices and the blue Curaçao (is this like in EVERY Disney World drink these days?), you could barely even taste the vodka.
Oh, and if you’re wondering where the Poison Apple Glow Cube is…well, when we visited Disney Springs to get this drink today they didn’t have those yet. Be sure to check if these glow cubes are available if you decide to give this drink a try.
One great thing about this drink is its presentation — it’s a very pretty color! And we totally could have seen it being really fun looking with the addition of the glow cube. Still, it is very sweet.
We get it though, some people really like sweet, tropical flavors in their drinks or drinks where you can barely taste the alcohol, and if that’s your thing — you might want to try this. If you don’t like sweet drinks or you don’t like blue Curaçao though, you’ll probably want to pass on this particular item.
Also, if you’re looking for more fall flavors as opposed to orange and pineapple juice, then this might not be a good choice. The drink may be green in color, giving off some Halloween-ish vibes, but those flavors are more on the tropical side. And this isn’t the first time we’ve been served with tropical drinks for the fall season! We got a “Halloween” drink recently that features many of the same ingredients as this drink including Pineapple juice and blue Curaçao.
If you do want to try this drink, it’s available for $13 at all the bar carts at Disney Springs, though the Cast Member indicated that the glow cube would be an additional cost. The drink is available right now through October 31st, so you’ve got some time to stop by and check it out. We grabbed ours from the cart across from Disney Style.
