We’re big fans of trying Disney World recipes at home.
We’ve got recipes for ‘Ohana’s bread pudding, the famous Sanaa bread service, the iconic Dole Whip, and so many more Disney snacks. Now, Disney has released a signature recipe from a closed restaurant that only true fans will know about!
Cap’n Jack’s Restaurant used to be located in Disney Springs. The restaurant closed in 2013 to make way for Disney Springs’ big transformation.
Back when it was open, Cap’n Jack’s served up all kinds of seafood like lobster rolls (we got this one as a Chef’s Special)…
…clam chowder, crab cakes, and more.
In honor of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, a new cookbook is coming out called Delicious Disney: Walt Disney World. The cookbook will feature recipes from around the parks. But, the book won’t just feature recipes for dishes you can find presently in Disney World. It’ll also let you recreate some of your old favorites that are long gone!
One of the recipes you’ll find in the cookbook is actually Cap’n Jack’s signature Clam Dip! We got a sneak peek at this recipe today. Here’s what you’ll need to make about 2 cups of the dip:
- 1 cup canned minced clams, drained
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 4 Greek pepperoncini, finely minced
- 2 teaspoons fish bouillon
- 1 tablespoon chopped chives, more for garnish
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt, more to taste
- 2 dashes of your favorite hot sauce
- Crackers, for serving
All you have to do is mix together the ingredients in a medium bowl and refrigerate until you’re ready to chow down. You should serve the dip chilled with crackers.
Be sure to let us know in the comments below if this clam dip was a favorite of yours from this spot! Want to make more Disney recipes at home? Check out our video below!

we were married in Sarasota in the morning and then drove to Disney for our Honeymoon. We lunched at Captain Jack’s. It was so special – our first lunch as married people. On our 25th Anniversary, we went back and relived that lunch. The staff learned of our anniversary and story and then brought us a large basket of goodies to celebrate our special day. The clam dip was one of my favorites and I am so happy to see the recipe again! Thank you for sharing!
