EPCOT is looking PRETTY different!

From a new entrance area to new attractions, and more; the EPCOT Transformation is in full swing. We’ve been doing all of our shopping in a temporary Mouse Gear for a while, and now we know WHEN the BIG new EPCOT store will open!
A few months ago, Disney announced that Mouse Gear, EPCOT’s biggest merchandise location, would be replaced with the all-new Creations Shop! This store is set to be the new flagship merchandise location for the park and is based on Mickey Mouse.

And now, we have an OPENING DATE for the Creations Shop! We’ll get to check out the new store for the first time on September 15th!!

That’s right, folks — it’s happening SOON! Disney Parks made the announcement on Twitter by sharing a photo of the “Light” line from the EPCOT Light & Color Collection, which will be exclusive to Creations Shop!

In the shop there will also be 10 NEW sculptures titled “Mouse as Muse.” The sculptures were each created by Imagineering artists and they are inspired by each artist’s personal interpretation of what creativity and Disney means to them. What an awful name! Really? WTH thought that one up? I know, I will continue to call it Mouse Gear no matter what the sign says. I just hope they didn’t make it as lifeless and boring as the Disney store in DS.
