From Cruella to The Lion King, Disney has been making a LOT of live-action prequels and remakes of their animated classics!

Today, we got a release date for one of Disney’s upcoming live-action offerings!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid official has a release date of May 29, 2023!

The film is set to star Halle Bailey from Freeform’s Grownish and the R&B duo Chloe x Halle along with Javier Bardem, Awkwafina, Melissa McCarthy, and Jacob Tremblay.

In the meantime, there are plenty of Disney movies to look forward to like Encanto and the upcoming Muppets Haunted Mansion special!
