Between hurricanes, a worldwide pandemic, and typhoons, Disney is no stranger to last-minute emergency closings.
The powerful Typhoon Chanthu prompted a Disney park to close in anticipation of heavy rain and wind.
On Monday, September 13 and Tuesday, September 14, Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown, and Wishing Star Park will be closed due to the impending Typhoon Chanthu.
According to Disney, guests who have tickets for Shanghai Disneyland can visit the park another day within the next six months or obtain a refund.
Additionally, Disney stated that both Shanghai Disney Resort hotels will remain open, but guests are welcome to request a refund if they choose.
We will continue to monitor the status of Shanghai Disney, so stay tuned to DFB for more updates.
