Yesterday (September 15th), the NEW Creations Shop opened in EPCOT.
Creations Shop
This shop is EPCOT’s new flagship store and the replacement for Mouse Gear. The shop was VERY popular yesterday, with many EPCOT fans rushing in to check out the new EPCOT-themed merchandise that is exclusive to this store (p.s. the new ears are AMAZING at night). But, what if you want to skip the checkout lines at this new and popular spot? Well, you can do that…if you know how!
If you want to skip the register/checkout lines at select Disney World stores, you can do that by using the Mobile Merchandise Checkout option through the My Disney Experience app.
In order to use this feature, you’ll open your My Disney Experience app and tap on the center + button. That’ll open up this screen and you’ll see an option that says “Shop in Store — Now Testing.”
Mobile Checkout
This option has been tested at various stores in the past, but currently appears to be testing at World of Disney in Disney Springs and the Creations Shop in EPCOT!

We saw signs for this mobile checkout option when we were in the Creations Shop yesterday. Important note: the sign specifies that in order for Disney Visa Cardmembers to get their perks, they must pay at a register, so keep that in mind!
Mobile Merchandise Checkout
If you do want to use mobile merchandise checkout, you’ll simply open up your app, select the Creations Store from the “Shop in Store — Now Testing” option, scan the items you want to buy while in the store, and pay for them through the app.
Time to Get Shopping
Once you’re done paying, you’ll get an exit QR code and you’ll visit a special checkout area in the store. There, you’ll show the Cast Members the exit QR code, get any necessary bags, and go on with your day!
