Disney World restaurants have been going through a lot of changes lately!
Not only have restaurants continued to reopen, but we’ve seen a Mary Poppins-themed makeover at Citricos, some new menu items at the fan-favorite ‘Ohana and the return of some classics, and the reopening of different character dining experiences. Now, a very popular Disney World restaurant is getting a MAJOR menu change!
Disney previously announced that California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort would be getting a special experience for Disney World’s 50th anniversary, and now we know that includes a huge menu revamp.
California Grill will soon be transitioning to a prix fixe menu for a limited time! Instead of the regular menu, the meal will be a set price with a few choices for guests to choose from.
As part of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, California Grill will offer a limited-time 3-course menu. The dishes featured on the menu will be ones inspired by past favorites as well as brand new creations. The 3-course meal will include 1 appetizer selection, 1 entree selection, and 1 dessert.
Here are some of the items you’ll find on the prix fixe menu: The California Grill Sushi Classics Trio – Blue Crab California Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Spicy Kazan Roll. The Spicy Kazan Roll features blue crab, yellowfin tuna tataki, and sweet shrimp, as well as Fireball Sauce with bay scallops, avocado, and mango.
You’ll also get to try the House-Made Artisanal-Style Duck á la Orange Pizza. According to Disney, “Long Island Duckling with Orange Sauce was on the original Top of the World menu.” And since flatbreads and pizzas are a guest favorite at California Grill, Disney decided to combine the 2. The pizza features duck prosciutto and confit, orange-black mission fig jam, pickled shallots, aged blue cheese, and arugula.
Oak-Fired Filet of Beef with Black Truffle-Brown Butter Château Potatoes, Golden Raisins Vinaigrette, Cauliflower, and Black Garlic Butter is another treat that will be available on this menu for those looking for a beef dish.
For dessert, one of the options will be an EARidescent Grand Marnier Soufflé served table-side with macerated Florida citrus and a delicious house-made Creamsicle Ice Cream.
Get a full look at the new prix fixe menu below.
The meal will cost $89 per adult (ages 10 and up) and $39 per child (ages 3-9), plus tax and gratuity. The new prix fixe menu will be offered starting October 3rd and reservations open on September 23rd.

Cindy says
An Enchanted Experience CM told me that unfortunately, regular diners will not be allowed to go out on the observation deck to watch the fireworks like those who purchased the “Celebration at the Top” party (which I missed out on).
Alice says
Any idea how long this menu will be offered? I will be visiting in December and was wondering if it was only for the month of October. Thank you!
DFB Sarah says
Alice, as far as I know, Disney has only released the start date (October 3), so we’ll update when we know more about this.
Benjamin Cegelka says
What about the lounge? Does that still use the original menu? Or is it not even open?
DFB Sarah says
Benjamin, California Grill’s lounge is serving a small bar menu, not the prix-fixe menu. However you’ll want to note that the only seating in the lounge for non-anniversary meal guests is at the bar itself. The table seating is being used for anniversary menu guests.
Colleen Smith says
Does anyone know if they are going to bring back Brunch at the top?
DFB Sarah says
Colleen, no word from Disney on this, as far as I know, but we will continue to watch the menus and report on news when there is some.
Adrianna Fueredi says
Hi DFB! any word on how much longer this pre fix menu will be there for? Excited to go back to normal 🙂 thank you!
