UPDATE: Space 220 Lounge is now accepting reservations.
As you might have heard, we had a pretty out-of-this-world day at Space 220 yesterday.
We reviewed EVERYTHING on the menu at the new spot including lunch, dinner, and the lounge offerings. But it is NOT easy to grab a table at this just-opened spot. The restaurant is first-come, first-serve with a virtual queue through next Monday, and after that reservations are booked into November. But did you know that you’ll be able to dine at Space 220 WITHOUT a reservation?
It’s true, for the lunch and dinner experience, you will certainly need a reservation starting next Monday. But that’s not the ONLY way to experience this unique restaurant. The Space 220 Lounge will remain a first-come, first-serve experience!
The lounge is located in the same dining space as the restaurant and features a special lounge menu (with a few lounge-only exclusives!), but you can also order off the full menu to do the prix fixe meal.
Some of the lounge exclusives include the Astro Deviled Eggs, the Chicken on Waffles, and the New England Lobster Roll. The lounge menu also features some of the starters like the Blue Moon Cauliflower and the Starry Calamari. We’ve got a FULL REVIEW of the lounge eats coming soon!
The restaurant’s Atmospheric Spirits (A.K.A. specialty cocktails!) are also a great option for this walk-up-only space. We especially liked the Atmospritz and the Jupiter Fizz!
To dine at the Space 220 Lounge, you’ll need to visit the restaurant during its open hours. Since the lounge is first-come, first-serve, there may not be availability when you’re hoping to stop in, and/or you may have to wait in a physical line.
If you do want to make a reservation for Space 220, reservations for dates beginning September 27th are available now. This spot is sure to be MEGA popular for a while so we recommend prioritizing this reservation! Book Space 220 THE MOMENT your 60-day window opens. If you miss out and can’t find a reservation, KEEP CHECKING! Plans change all the time and it’s very possible you’ll find an open reservation as your trip approaches.
As a reminder, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort, you can make your dining reservations for your trip starting 60 days out PLUS the length of your stay (up to 10 days). If you are not staying at a Walt Disney World resort or do not yet have a resort booked, you can make your dining reservation 60 days before the date you are looking to dine. You can book through My Disney Experience, by calling (407) WDW-DINE, or online on Disney World’s website.
Still, it’s super cool that there’s an option to visit this high-demand spot without a reservation! We’ll be bringing you more reviews of Space 220 and ALL the news about EPCOT’s newest restaurant, so stay tuned to DFB!

Will you try to snag a seat at the Space 220 Lounge? Tell us in the comments!
Monica says
I have reservations for Space 220 for a month from now, but we are more interested in eating from the lounge menu. Will it be possible to order from that menu with our sit down reservation?
DFB Sarah says
Monica, servers told our reporters no, you need to order prix fixe options when you’re in the dining room.
Dee says
Is the lounge adult only at the bar?
Andrea Cressionnie says
Do you have to 21+ for the lounge?
DFB Sarah says
Andrea, you do not.
DFB Sarah says
Dee, it is not adult-only.
Janet says
I’ve been trying to get reservations to Space 220, but haven’t been able to find any availability at all! It’s super frustrating. 🙁
Amy says
Do you still have the view through the windows from the lounge?
DFB Sarah says
Amy, you can still see the stellar view from the Lounge. The dining room is wide open, so you can see the large ‘windows’ from everywhere.
Toni says
Is the lounge area big or just the seats at the bar? It’s hard to tell because all the tables look the same 😊
DFB Sarah says
Toni, it’s the seats at the bar and a handful of two-tops and four-tops.
John says
I have a daughter that doesn’t like anything on the menu. We have a party of 6 and she just wants to eat desert, is that possible or does she have to order a lunch from the menu?
DFB Sarah says
John, if a diner is seated at the table, they’ll have to get the prix-fixe, according to Cast Members we spoke with. If you choose to dine in the lounge instead, she could order from the lounge menu while the rest of you could order prix fixe; the issue there might be the party size since tables are two- and four-tops in the lounge. And I’m not sure she could order a prix fixe desserts in the lounge; that might be up to the chefs/servers when you visit. I haven’t heard of anyone doing that, though. If there’s a side dish offered that she would like, you could see if she can have that in the lounge instead of a lounge offering, but servers told our reporters that you can’t just order sides in the dining room.
Rory says
Any more recent experiences getting a table at the lounge? How are the crowds/wait times? What about mid afternoon at like 3, between meals?
Rhonda says
We waited in line for the lounge on Monday, 10/04/21. The wait was roughly 1 1/2 hours in the hot sun. We sat at the bar. There were two empty seats at the bar and several empty bar tables the entire time we were there, in spite of the fact there was a long line outside. (There are a total of 10 bar tables available.) I had deviled eggs with bacon and my boyfriend had the lobster roll. We each had a cocktail and we split a piece of carrot cake. The total before tip was $97.00. Crazy prices, but a one time experience!
Rachel Brown says
Did anyone try to get reservations as soon as it opened? The site said no availability right when I refreshed
Monica says
Can I order a sweet at the lounge after my food? If yes, how much do they charge?
