Remember back when Disney was hosting its most recent quarterly earnings call, and CEO Bob Chapek announced this somewhat mysterious event called “Disney+ Day,” which celebrates the two-year anniversary of Disney+?
We just learned about a LOT that we can expect to be included in this event, which will take place on November 12th, and Disney+ subscribers can even experience special perks in Disney Parks! Learn more here.
Disney+ Day Programming
Disney announced a full lineup of programming, streaming exclusively on Disney+ starting on November 12th. Take a look at just some of the titles coming to the streaming service:
Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be available for FREE starting on November 12th. Previously, the film was only showing at movie theaters and was NOT available for streaming on Disney+. But that will change on November!
As we previously shared, Disney’s Jungle Cruise will also be available on Disney+ to all subscribers at no additional cost starting on November 12th. The film is currently available to stream via Premier Access.
Remember that part in Frozen 2 when Olaf did that amazing retelling of the plot from the FIRST Frozen film? Well, it looks like he’s getting ready to retell MORE plots from our favorite Disney films with Olaf Presents, a new series of original shorts! The series will also arrive to Disney+ on November 12th.
It looks like we’ll also get first looks at upcoming projects from both Star Wars as well as Marvel! Will we get a sneak peek at season 3 of The Mandalorian or The Book of Boba Fett?
Beginning at 6AM PT on November 12th, Disney+ social media will be releasing new trailers, first looks, exclusive clips, and more! On Disney+ 8AM PT Pixar Animation Studios will be hosting a special, followed by Marvel Studios at 8:45AM PT.
Fans can also look forward to the following titles and projects coming to Disney+ on November 12th:
- A new documentary titled The Making of Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles about Billie Eilish’s recent Disney+ cinematic concert experience
- Marvel Assembled: The Making of Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, a docu-special chronicling the creation of the recent Marvel Studios’ theatrical release
- Marvel Studios Legends: Hawkeye, an episode that revisits all of Hawkeye’s epic moments from the MCU in preparation for the upcoming Disney+ Original Series
- The domestic Disney+ streaming debut of fan favorite shorts from Walt Disney Animation Studios including Frozen Fever, Oscar-winning shorts Feast and Paperman, Oscar-nominated Mickey Mouse short Get A Horse! and more
- An animated short film Ciao Alberto from Pixar, featuring characters from this summer’s animated hit breakout film Luca
- A new short from The Simpsons that pays tribute to Disney+’s marquee brands
- The first five episodes from season two of The World According to Jeff Goldblum from National Geographic
- A special celebrating the origins and legacy of Star Wars’ legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett
- A special celebrating the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+ with an exciting look towards the future
- Dopesick, an original series starring Michael Keaton, which will be released in international markets as part of the Star general entertainment content offering
Yes, you read that correctly…season 2 of The World According to Jeff Goldblum will arrive on November 12th!
Also for the first time, Disney+ subscribers will be able to stream select Marvel films in IMAX’s Expanded Aspect Ratio at home with IMAX Enhanced! This new feature will launch on November 12th, and subscribers will get the bigger IMAX Expanded Aspect Ratio, which gives you up to 26% more picture for certain scenes!

Disney+ Day in Disney Parks
In both Disney World and Disneyland on November 12th, Disney+ subscribers (with tickets and park reservations) can enter Disney Parks 30 minutes before park opening! There will be a “blue carpet experience” for Disney+ subscribers in both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland, with special photo ops and even free PhotoPass downloads at select locations.
Across the pond at Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris, Disney+ characters will also be appearing around the parks dressed in blue, and there will be a complimentary Disney+ treat at Restaurant en Coulisse, which you can get with a purchase. The park will also stay open for 30 minutes after closing with a blue Tower of Terror illumination.

Disney+ Day on Network TV
There will be spots on Disney-owned networks throughout this week featuring various stars like Kelly Ripa, Peyton Manning and his daughter, Sarah Paulson, Anthony Anderson and his mother, and more, talking about what they’re streaming on Disney+. You can also catch Disney+ mentions this week on shows like Dancing with the Stars, General Hospital, Live! with Kelly and Ryan, Wheel of Fortune, Tamron Hall, The View, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Stephen A’s World, NFL Live, NBA Today, SportsNation, and more.
There will be Disney+ Original spots during ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown and Monday Night Football. On Jeopardy on Friday, November 12th you can test your Disney trivia! Also on November 12th, Good Morning America will be celebrating live from Times Square with Disney+ stars, along with special episodes of Localish and On the Red Carpet.
Disney+ Day Special Events
Disney World is not the only place to celebrate Disney+ Day! Select Target locations will be hosting in-store Disney+ activations from November 12th through the 14th, and guests who sign up will receive the Disney+ Day offer and special giveaways.
And at select AMC Theatres there will be four daily surprise screenings from November 12th through the 14th. Each movie will have a “surprise short” and guests won’t even know what movie they’re going to see until the movie begins! Tickets cost $5 each and come with a free Disney+ poster and a special concession offer.
And don’t worry, you can celebrate Disney+ Day at home too!
Disney+ Day at Home
You don’t have to go anywhere to celebrate Disney+ Day! On the My Disney Experience app, you can have fun with a new AR filter featuring Grogu (aka baby Yoda), which will be available on November 12th.
From November 12th through the 14th, Disney+ subscribers can also receive free shipping on shopDisney, and starting today shopDisney is adding new customizable items from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, and Star Wars. And if you visit Disney Publishing Worldwide, you can purchase select $0.99 eBooks from November 8th through the 17th!
Disney and VeVe are also releasing a “limited set of digital collectibles representing some of the most beloved characters and stories from iconic Disney franchises,” and each purchase will include a free code valid for a three free months of Disney+. These NFTs will actually be digital golden statues including characters from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and The Simpsons. They’ll be available daily until Disney+ Day, when an “Ultra Rare” collectible will be revealed!
From November 12th through the 14th, Funko will offer 10% off Disney+ products online and in stores with the code DISNEYPLUSDAY, and WizKids will also offer 5% off Disney items from November 8th through the 14th with same code. You’ll receive a Marvel gift with a WizKids purchase!
