October 1st is a little over a week away, and we’re doing our best to prepare for the big day!
In case you’re not caught up on the latest details, next week is Disney World’s big 50th Anniversary, and it’s bringing some exciting new offerings to the parks! We’ll get two new fireworks shows, a daytime show, special decorations, a new restaurant, AND a new ride. And if you’re hoping to check out the new ride, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, then we’ve got some important information you need to know!
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is part of the new expansion in the France Pavilion at EPCOT. Some guests have been able to preview the ride already (you can check out our visit here!), but it opens officially on October 1st. And when it opens to the public, it won’t be offering a traditional standby line.
Similar to the system that has been around at Rise of the Resistance (but is currently not operating), you will need to get a boarding pass to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. You’ll first want to make sure that you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded to your phone. Sign in to your Disney account and check that your tickets are linked to your account, along with your Disney Park Pass reservations and your family and friends who are visiting the park with you.
Then, on the morning when you have a Park Pass reservation for EPCOT, you can try to join the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure virtual queue through the app at exactly 7AM EST. There will be a section on the app’s home page where you will find the virtual queue options listed.
Once on this screen, click EPCOT and select the queue for Remy’s. When it’s time to join, a button will pop on on this page. You won’t need to be in the park at 7AM to join the queue, but you’ll want to be quick — boarding passes often disappear in seconds, so we recommend having a clock nearby to count down.
If you miss your morning opportunity, you can try again at 1PM, once you’re inside EPCOT. You must have scanned into the park in order to try for a boarding pass in the afternoon. If you secure a boarding pass at either time, it will show up in your virtual queues on the app, and you’ll be given a group number and a countdown to when you should arrive at the ride.
In the past, we’ve suggested that multiple guests in your party try for a boarding group for Rise of the Resistance. However, Disney notes specifically that multiple guests and/or devices attempting to secure a boarding group for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (for the same party) could make the process more complicated. They suggest that only one person from each group tries to get a boarding pass for everyone.
We’ll get more information and we’ll make sure to share all of our best tips when the ride opens on October 1st. But for right now, it seems like the process is very similar to what was formerly in place for Rise of the Resistance. We’ll keep you updated as we get more details!

This is ridiculous and so difficult, why even bother to add an attraction if the paying public is not allowed to ride. This mess of 7am ONLY or 1pm ONLY to try and win the lottery is so impossible, esp when Disney has the worst IT and doesnt work on your phone. I guess they win, they are trying to push people out and its going to work, were just about done with disney. sea world has become so much nicer and more enjoyable.
