If you’re like us, you’ve probably been anxiously waiting for more news about Disney World’s new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel.

Recently we learned new details about the Star Wars hotel, and we got a sneak peek of some food dishes. Disney also announced the opening timeline for the hotel, but “Spring 2022” didn’t give us the exact date. Well, now we DO have the date, and it’s time to set alarms and mark calendars!
Today, Disney announced that Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will open on March 1st, 2022. It’s happening!

General bookings will open on October 28, 2021!! But, Disney has shared that some “Disney and Star Wars fans, including Disney Vacation Club members, Disney Passholders and Disney Visa Cardmembers, should be on the lookout in the coming weeks for a special booking opportunity just for you.”

Not familiar with what the Galactic Starcruiser really is? Well, while we often call it the “Star Wars Hotel” it’s not really a traditional hotel. Instead, you’ll want to think of it as a cruise-type experience. During your 2-night stay in space, you’ll be transported to a galaxy far, far away where you’ll get to live out your own Star Wars story.

During your time at the hotel, you’ll get to interact with all kinds of unique characters including Kylo Ren, Rey, and Chewbacca; learn how to wield a lightsaber; visit the bridge of the ship and operate its defense system; and even hold secret meetings!

There will also be places for you to enjoy some unique food, the opportunity to go on an excursion to Batuu, and more. We’ve seen hiring posts for some of the individuals you’ll meet on the ship, and photos of what its guest rooms will look like.

Earlier today, Disney gave fans a sneak peek at the starcruiser’s bridge area. In this area, guests will learn more about the ship’s navigation and defense systems. That training on the bridge might just come in handy as you never know what types of things will happen while onboard!

OH BOY! I’ll start saving up for a 2 night booking right now…wait a minute, I could never save that much. What I meant was, I’ll put my house on the market right now.
This should be a real maylay on Oct. 28th.
Do we know how far in advance book inns would be open to. We’re considering Jan/Feb 23.
I would love to go but the price is tough to swallow. I bet the first several weeks are 50 year old guys splitting the cost. Shortage of wives and kids! I wonder what

Maddy, we don’t know yet. The only booking info we have so far is for DVC Members and Annual Passholders, who can book a couple days in October for trips in spring 2022. When full calendars open for all reservations, we’ll have a better idea of how far out Disney is looking to book Starcruiser.

Judy, I would expect all public spaces to be accessible, and I would expect they may have some accessible rooms as well. When we know for sure, we’ll report on it.
