Disney World’s 50th anniversary is TOMORROW!!
Can you believe it?! The Most Magical Place on Earth is about to be half a century old — and we’re SO ready to celebrate. From fireworks to food to merchandise, Disney has been getting us hyped up for this day for a long time. And now, guests will have even longer to celebrate the big day in Magic Kingdom!
Disney has extended the hours in Magic Kingdom for the 50th anniversary!
Previously, the park was going to be open from 8AM-10PM on October 1st, and 9AM-10PM on October 2nd-4th. But now, you will get a whole extra hour in Magic Kingdom because the park will be open until 11PM! The new hours are:
- Friday, October 1st: 8AM-11PM
- Saturday, October 2nd: 9AM-11PM
- Sunday, October 3rd: 9AM-11PM
- Monday, October 4th: 9AM-11PM
This will give you even more time to explore the park after watching Magic Kingdom’s new fireworks show — Disney Enchantment — at 9PM each night!
Closing hours remain the same after October 4th. On Tuesday, October 5th, the park will close at 8:30 for Boo Bash (Disney Enchantment will take place at 8PM), then on Wednesday, October 6th, Magic Kingdom will close at 9PM for regular guests, but stay open until 11PM for Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resort guests as part of the new Extended Evening Hours.
Hooray for having more time in Magic Kingdom to celebrate! Stay tuned to DFB as we follow along with everything happening for the 50th anniversary.
