Disney World’s newest hotel, the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser (also known to us as the Star Wars hotel), will be a unique 2-night, immersive experience fit for even the biggest fans of Star Wars.
Today we learned not only the day reservations open for the Star Wars hotel, but also when the first “voyages” will commence! Select people have access to a special early window for reserving a spot on the Galactic Starcruiser, so here’s what you need to know if you want to be among the first guests of the Galactic Starcruiser.
As Disney hinted in the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser announcements, there are a few groups of people who will have access to make reservations before they’re open to the general public.
Disney Vacation Club Members will be eligible to book a reservation at the Star Wars hotel from October 7th through October 9th for voyages on March 1st through May 4th (Star Wars Day!). Reservations will open to the public on October 28th.
Active Disney World Annual Passholders are also eligible to book reservations during the same pre-sale window. The very first “voyage” at the Star Wars hotel will be on March 1st, so this pre-sale is a great opportunity for Annual Passholders and DVC members to be among the first to experience this immersive hotel. Reservations are limited during this pre-sale window and we expect them to go FAST, so don’t forget!
Club 33 Members and Golden Oak Residents can also get early booking access for the Star Wars hotel. Recently, Disney noted that Club 33 Members and Golden Oak Residents have an exclusive pre-sale booking window from October 5th to the 6th. Club 33 Members and Golden Oak Residents should have received an email about this early booking opportunity from Disney.
Disney has also hinted that Disney Visa Cardmembers may also receive a booking opportunity, so we’ll be watching closely for more information. Update: According to a post from Scott Gustin on Twitter, Disney Visa cardmembers will be able to make their reservations for the Star Wars hotel from October 12th through the 16th.
Additionally, eligible Disney travel agents will be able to make bookings from October 21st through the 26th.
If you fall into one of the groups above and you want to book a trip on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, mark your calendar for the early booking date that applies to you! And keep reading DFB for all your Disney World news.

Thanks for posting this information! Long time reader of the blog. A few quick questions… do you know what time of day on October 7th annual passholders can make reservations? Will it be possible to reserve online or will we have to call? Finally: if we have to call, what time do the phone lines open?
I just signed up for an annual pass (mostly just to get in on this pre-order). We typically visit Disney once a year, but cost-wise I think we can just space our annual trips ~350 days apart and make the annual pass worth it, especially with early access to this amazing experience.

Mike, thanks for reaching out. This page about planning to book your voyage specifically says “when you call” in the fine print, so that leads me to believe this will be a phone booking. Phone lines typically open at 7AM EST, but they could open earlier. I would suggest you also try looking online for booking that morning just in case that opens as well. Online booking tends to start earlier in the day — sometimes as early as 5AM or in the 5 o’clock hour (Disney doesn’t release set online booking times, usually, so it’s just a guess, unfortunately). You might try reaching out to VIPassholder services to see if they can give you more specific information.

Mike, a Disney V.I.Passholder Cast Member told me the annual pass MUST ALREADY BE ACTIVATED (and it can only be activated at a theme park or at Disney Springs), otherwise it CANNOT be used for the early booking window for passholders. So, it you fall into that category, you are going to have to wait until October 28th to book the Galactic Starcruiser. I, sadly, fall into that category (and I’m not happy about it).
