Who wants to join us in a rendition of “Happy Birthday” to Disney World! Because turning 50 is a VERY BIG DEAL, and there’s a HUGE celebration going on RIGHT NOW at the resort!
And we’ve been having fun seeing all the amazing merchandise (our poor wallets) and seeing all the decorations AND golden character statues. But most of all, we’re enjoying ALL THE FOOD being released in honor of the big celebration.
Over at Disney Springs, we had to try out the new 50th Celebration Petit Cake. It’s a Vanilla Chiffon Cake with Celebration Blue Mousse, Blueberry Jam, and Lemon Curd. Now we’ve really liked some of the other petit cakes we’ve seen here, including a fun Star Wars Father’s Day Petit Cake and a Mulan Petit Cake. So how does this one compare? Well, first, it’s GORGEOUS.
It has this geode-type look that is seriously realistic. It’s also decorated with a blue ribbon around the base and a 50th Anniversary medallion on the front.
On the inside, there are layers of vanilla chiffon cake with celebration blue mousse, blueberry jam, and lemon curd. When we took our first bite, we were immediately blown away by the fruity combination of blueberry and lemon and the perfectly textured mousse! And if you’re wondering what that crunchy part is…it’s vanilla rock candy. How neat!
You can grab this special treat now at Amorette’s Patisserie for $22. Even though it’s pricey, it’s Instagram-worthy and definitely big enough to split, so we recommend checking it out!
And we’ll keep trying every single new 50th Anniversary celebration menu item we can find, so stay tuned.
