What a food-filled day this has been at Magic Kingdom! We’ve been trying brand-new food and drink items in celebration of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, including treats from Aloha Isle, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe, and Columbia Harbour House!
Our next stop is Westward Ho Refreshments in Frontierland where we ordered a rather unassuming snack (especially compared to some of those extravagant cupcakes we’ve tried today).
We ordered Wendell’s Bear Claw, which is a Traditional Bear Claw dipped in Chocolate Sauce and sprinkled with Hazelnuts! If you’re unfamiliar, a Bear Claw is a yeast-raised pastry like a type of Danish in a shape that resembles a bear claw.
It also comes served in the new 50th Anniversary paper!
We LOVED this simple but amazingly executed treat. We actually ate this pretty darn fast we loved it so much. The texture was nice and flakey and we would absolutely order this again.
It was also filled with chocolate, making this treat even more delicious! It pairs wonderfully with a cup of coffee first thing in the morning!
At $5.99, this is a great example of why sometimes less is more in Disney World! Be sure to follow along a we cover more of the newest treats that have arrived for the 50th Anniversary Celebration in the coming days and weeks!
