Happy Birthday, Disney World!
The 50th Anniversary Celebration has officially started, and yes, we are running around Disney World right now, checking out TONS of new things. We’ve already gotten a look at the new fireworks shows, the new merchandise, the new golden statues, and some of the new food. A LOT of new food is coming to Disney World for the 50th. For this particular food adventure, we’re heading to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort to grab a sweet treat!
At The Market at Ale & Compass in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort you’ll find the brand NEW 50th Celebration Tart. This new tart is made of a Birthday Cake Mousse Dome on top of a Milk Chocolate Mousse-Filled Vanilla Tart Shell with Buttercream and Chocolate Decor.

The Celebration Tart also featured little globs of more buttercream icing underneath the top layer. The bow on top is made of white chocolate and is dusted with gold powder.
But, all in all, the treat was just WAY too sweet for our taste. It was essentially icing on top of icing on top of mousse on top of more mousse — it was…a LOT. We wish that one of those mousse or icing components would have been swapped for a berry component or something that could have added a little bit of tartness to balance things out.
If you love chocolate, especially chocolate mousse, milk chocolate (which you get from those ears), and white chocolate, then you might really enjoy this treat. You’ll have to also LOVE icing and really sweet treats too though. Basically, this is a treat for icing and chocolate lovers.
If you don’t like chocolate mousse or only like your sweets to have a thin layer of icing, this is a snack you’ll want to stay far away from. Our reporter who tried this noted that they love chocolate mousse, but they said the treat was one they couldn’t eat too much of because it just had SO much icing and sweet components.
One thing we want to note is that when we went to grab the treat the Cast Members were unsure of the price. They tried to look for a label for the item, but they couldn’t find it. At the time, the item was provided to us for free. Be sure to ask about the price for this item if you stop to grab it.
And stay tuned because LOTS of other 50th Anniversary snack reviews are on the way!
