Yesterday was the historic 50th Anniversary of Disney World and we brought you around the parks and resorts with us!
Spaceship Earth is a Beacon of Magic for the 50th Anniversary!
We showed you a new cavalcade, new food, new nighttime shows, crowds, and so much more! But there are things happening outside of the theme parks, too. Recently, Disney World announced one of the ways they’re giving back in celebration of the big anniversary!
Disney has committed to giving away $3 Million in donations to local Orlando charities and organizations as a thank you to the local community!

The charities include the Give Kids the World Village (an organization that helps seriously ill children visit Disney World), the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, the Heart of Florida United Way, the Hope Partnership, and ELEVATE Orlando! All of these organizations received their grants and donations in special ceremonies led by the legend himself, Mickey Mouse!
