We’ve been busy celebrating Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, and we’ll stay busy celebrating it for the next 18 months!
And it’s been so much fun so far — we’ve seen the new EPCOT nighttime show Harmonious, as well as the new Disney Enchantment fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. We’ve eaten ALL the things (y’all seriously don’t want to know how many blue and glittery things we’ve consumed!). We’ve also kept up with all the amazing new merchandise that’s appeared in the shops!
Speaking of merchandise, we spotted one of the hottest limited edition 50th Anniversary souvenirs today at Disney Springs! It’s the Limited Edition Disney World 50th Anniversary Starbucks Tumbler and it is BLINGED OUT! One side has the 50th logo on it…
…while the other sports the Starbucks logo.
We found this tumbler at World of Disney, but there was a secret to getting it — we had to ask a Cast Member about it. It was not on the shelves. Also, these tumblers are kept in their sturdy boxes.
So if you want one for yourself, be sure to ask a Cast Member nicely for it! These are still very popular souvenirs and could sell out, but it can’t hurt to ask. The tumbler is $39.99, and if we spot more 50th Anniversary gear (and we’re sure we will), we’ll let you know!

Will you be grabbing one of these tumblers? Let us know in the comments!
Dana says
This isn’t true. They are on the shelves at World of Disney but they have a cast member standing there handing them out.
DFB Sarah says
Dana, thanks for reaching out. I’ll share your experience with our reporters so they can check on this. The process we described here is what we experienced on our recent visit.
Amanda R. says
So… please forgive me if I sound stupid, but… is there a reason a person would want this tumbler other than the fact that it’s pretty? What I mean is, can I get perks with it at Starbucks? Like, if I purchased coffee and said I had this tumbler, do I save money? Do they put the coffee in this tumbler? Or do people want it because it is insulated and keeps their drinks hot/cold longer? I guess I’m just new to all of the Starbucks tumbler hype (as I have seen a lot throughout the many threads and posts in my Disney research.)
Can someone help me out? No shame or shade, just a genuine question to help clarify the excitment for new tumblers.
DFB Sarah says
Amanda, no shame or shade in asking a genuine question. I think it’s the color/EARidescence/connection to the 50th anniversary. My sister, for example, wants one, and it’s because the color appeals to her (otherwise, she’s not a tumbler/mug collector normally). But there could be folks who love the tumblers for keeping drinks cool or maybe for the texture of some of them (like the one in this post). Maybe it’s just the idea that it’s coveted that makes it more appealing to some people — that scarcity mindset that if something is that popular, I better get mine fast (even if I would normally be ambivalent). It can be hard to know exactly what creates the fervor around certain merchandise, but it’s an interesting social behavior to think about.
Amanda R. says
Thank you for that clarification. I wasn’t sure if there were specific perks that came with these tumblers (that maybe I was missing out on!), so I thought I would ask. I think it is very pretty, too! Maybe when I am there, I might snag one… you never know! Haha.
Thanks, again! 🙂
Jason says
Just wanna chime in on Amanda’s question, so actually! This style of tumbler, with the studded/spiky feeling exterior is an extremely popular item at Starbucks, regardless of the 50th Anniversary design. They are regular cold cups, I don’t believe they are insulated. Starbucks has sold many of this type of tumbler before and they are ALWAYS a quick sell out, sometimes the baristas claim they can’t even buy one before they’re all gone! At the beginning of the summer, Starbucks was selling a matte black version of the tumbler! For whatever reason, the company provides each store with limited stock… And they ALWAYS end up on eBay with the price marked up 😆 So the fact that this has a special color and design exclusive to Magic Kingdom’s Anniversary makes it even more of a hot ticket item! And don’t forget this year is also Starbucks’ 50th Anniversary as well!!
Kelli says
How can we get one if we aren’t visiting the park?
DFB Sarah says
Kelli, it just appeared on ShopDisney this morning!
DFB Sarah says
Thanks, Jason!
Amanda R. says
Hi, Jason! Thank you so much for that information! I guess you all twisted my arm and now I have to buy one! Haha. I got a notification on my Starbucks app that said it was their 50th Anniversary as well, so I thought that was pretty cool. Our Disney trip isn’t until June 2022 so I am scouting merchandise for our vacation. I feel that this may be one thing that doesn’t make it that far down the road, though.
Dana L Jackson says
I wonder why the are charging $10 more on shop Disney then in the parks.
Dana L Jackson says
And they will be restocking all the merch throughout the entire 18 month celebration
Kelli Haglund says
I’m not seeing it on the site. Anyone have a link?
DFB Sarah says
Kelli, it sold out yesterday, but hopefully it’ll be back!
