Over the past few months, we’ve been able to spot some of our favorite Disney friends in cavalcades, distanced character meet-and-greets, flotillas, and distanced character meals.
If you’re a big fan of saying “hello” to the Disney princesses, Mickey, Minnie, and more, you’re in luck. Soon, character experiences in the park will be changing!
Earlier today, Disney announced that guests will soon be able to have some individualized time with their favorite characters! Disney has noted that the time isn’t quite right for hugs and autographs yet though, so that level of character interaction won’t be returning just yet.
But, soon guests will get the chance to get some more individualized time with the characters and the ability to visit these friends in themed locations for a photo or two.
Looking for princesses? Soon, the princesses will be returning to Princess Fairytale Hall in Magic Kingdom so you can meet them at a distance there.
Want to meet Minnie Mouse? You’ll be able to spend a little more individualized time with her over at Red Carpet Dreams in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Also in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll find the stars of Disney Junior in Animation Courtyard.
Looking for the one and only Mickey Mouse? You’ll be able to stop into Town Square Theater on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom to say hello to the mouse who started it all. And even better, Mickey will be wearing his new EARidescent outfit designed specifically for the 50th Anniversary celebration.
Based on the photo below shared by Disney, it appears these meets will be distanced but will allow guests to see their favorite characters in more themed settings.
Disney has noted that each of these spots are expected to start welcoming guests in November.
Disney has also shared that many of the cavalcades, motorcades, surprise character appearances, and similar experiences will be continuing around Disney World.
We’ll keep an eye out for more updates about these more individualized character experiences. Stay tuned for all the latest news!

I would NOT want a photo with a mask on. Ridiculous. Sorry.

It’s so great that character meets are coming back even though limited.
But what about parades. Cavalcades are great, but parades are the Disney hallmark.
Melanie Durham says
Yeay!!! So happy that they are bringing them back! I know it’s still a bit distanced but it’s getting better!

Thank you. I have a question please. Is it true that if I book a few table at a time as we are a large group, that I have to use a different credit card or I just have to make 3 different reservations? Basically can I use the same credit card fir all the reservations.
Thank you!
Wendy says
Any word on whether or not the princess are returning to Cinderella’s Royal Table???
DFB Sarah says
Wendy, no update from Disney on this yet.
DFB Sarah says
Lois, I haven’t heard of this. Let me check on it.

Lois, if you make one Advance Dining reservation for the whole large group, you’ll use one card. If you make multiple reservations (like breaking up the large group into smaller ones), you can use the same card but may encounter problems. The first potential problem is that you won’t find enough ADRs for that timeslot, and your large party may not all be able to eat at the same time (or be seated near each other). The second potential problem is that My Disney Experience may think you’re making a duplicate ADR, and it may force you to choose just one of the reservations to keep. In that scenario you would not be able to book enough tables for your group. I think we have three possible solutions. 1. You could try to make one ADR for the entire group using My Disney Experience. I think there’s a guest limit booking that way, so you may need option number two. 2. Call Disney dining and make your ADR through them. The dining reservation line is really primarily for folks with large parties and folks who encounter problems making their ADRs online. If you call and let them know how many are in your group, they can likely assist you (and you’ll only need to use one card). 3. If you really want to make multiple ADRs for the same period of time in order to accommodate all of your group members, you may need to have other people in your group make some of the ADRs (that would negate the duplicate reservation issue I mentioned above). In this case, you could still use your one credit card, but you’d have to give others your number (or they could give you their My Disney Experience log in info so you could make the ADR under their accounts). Let me know if this makes sense or if there are further questions.
