The newest addition to Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Wish, is scheduled to set sail on its maiden voyage in June 2022.
We’ve already learned about many new activities aboard the Wish for kids AND adults, and today Disney announced two additional experiences for kids to enjoy — and we’re kind of jealous! Whether you have a toddler or an older kid, you need to know about what else the Disney Wish has in store for families.
Aboard the Disney Wish, kids will be able to visit the Oceaneer Club, where parents can drop off kiddos from 3 months to 17 years old. We already knew that the Oceaneer Club will have Disney Princess, Marvel, and creative activities in the Fairytale Hall, Marvel Super Hero Academy, and Walt Disney Imagineering Lab. Today Disney announced two MORE spaces kids will be able to enjoy, including the Star Wars: Cargo Bay and Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck!
Mickey and Minnie Captain’s Deck is designed for young kids and this space will have a nautical-themed playground filled with sensory games and activities. The kids will also be able to visit with Mickey and Minnie! And during “Minnie’s Captain Academy,” kids will get all their wiggles out through a “training session” filled with games, dancing, and “drills” tied to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) concepts. Captain Minnie will even proclaim the graduates to be honorary captains!
In Star Wars: Cargo Bay, kids will be able to take on the role of creature handlers and help “take care” of Star Wars creatures like a porg, a Loth-cat, a worrt, and more. They will be givens assignments and AR (augmented reality) data pads to study and track the creatures, and they’ll also be able to meet with Rey and Chewbacca. The “Star Wars: Creature Challenge” will allow the kids to “feed” the galactic creatures, and when some dangerous beings cause trouble they have to work with Rey and Chewie to save the ship!
While your kids are off enjoying these incredible, immersive activities, adults can enjoy spaces like the Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge, an adults-only lounge where you can order galactic drinks in SPACE while on a cruise. You can see more about the experiences for kids aboard the Disney Wish below!
The Disney Wish is setting sail next June and we can’t wait to see everything this new ship has to offer. Keep reading DFB for more Disney news, including Disney Cruise Line, Disney World, Disneyland, and beyond!

TBH I’d rather do the kids’ activities than hang out in a lounge!
